Really quick post as need to be cooking family tea (that's something else in US, supper maybe...???).

Really good advice Sweet' for Eastender, I got took off the waiting list for my TAH as the NICE people issued guidelines that it shouldn't be done if you are under 40 unless it's life threatening - that's nice isn't it? It may not be life threatening but can sure as hell p*** you off every month can't it?

If anyone mentions my pained expression I always say "... nothing the menopause won't cure!" usually shuts them up!

Glad to see you're back Sweetpea and keeping us going and Shelby 23 days AF - really well done.

It is quite but I guess as you said Sweetpea it is holiday season. Am having a mad week rushing around trying to get everything done before we go away. Flying at the week end and will be gone 2 weeks. Trying to get as many AF days under my belt as I can before we go away.

Hi Guys,
Sorry I have been AWOL but had relatives stay over for a few days after party.
It went great! phone calls are still coming in saying that it was wonderful! Its so nice that it was appreciated.
Mr East was poorly with his back and during the day thought he would,nt make his own birthday party! But he even managed a very slow dance with me!
There were over 90 people and I had 2 glasses of wine, too busy talking and looking after guests. Remembered the whole evening and even drove home! Fantastic! and all due to this virtual world of friends I have!
My son arrived and we had a chat after two years! he promised to keep in touch.
I was on cloud nine on sunday...........

Mad Mummy, Hope you are not still suffering?, must admit inconvenience kids work stopped me accepting treatment 15 years ago,apart from the hormone tablets. I was 35 then. I am so very scared of the surgery now though.

Shelby Well done on your 24 days !!!!!
With technology these days it is so easy to keep in touch,sometimes the kids prefer it! My older daughter (24) lives 5 mins away and I hardly see her now. It don't think lts about distance, just these busy lifestyles. You might have more contact when she is further away,she will need to tell you of all of her adventures!

Rustop,My friends have all said as you say it will be worth it in the end.. I am so envious of your impending holiday:upset:

Teardrop, One of my friends is a nurse in the Hospital I am due to go to. Have asked her to sneek in Lunches for me:H

Lukalee, I know you are right,but I am still sooooooooo scared.

Just wanted to say hello and thank you. Day 50 here. I could not have done it without this site and all you wonderful people. I really thought when I hit 30 days I would try to moderate. Well, here I am at 50 and can find so many more reasons not to drink than I could to. This has taken over a year and I like the new (or should I say real) me better. I do miss AL from time to time but the memories I what I don't miss overide. Wishing you all the best, thanks again.

I am doing well at the moment and feeling really upbeat - Long may it last is all I can say and pray for. This is a very up and down situation our fight with AL but thanks to all your support on this site it is a battle that I am slowly winning - albeit with slips and downs but they are getting further apart and less dramatic and traumatic. Thank you all each and everyone of you

East I am so pleaded that the party went so well - Especially as your son went and you managed to have a talk:l I am sooooooo made up for you. Sorry Mr Easts back was playing him up but he made the party and enjoyed himself - All your hard work was well Worth it as it sounds like you all had an excellent time. Treasured memories for you and Mr East. Well done on the 2 glasses of wine you must be very proud of yourself that you moderated so well. Sorry to worry you about saying three months but you should be able to do some work on the computer after a couple of weeks as long as you pace yourself and have plenty of rest between sessions ( it is lifting and heavy work that is a definite no no)

:goodjob: Kat 50 days is amazing, the most I ever achieved was 40 something so I am envious. Planning to mod over hols and then get back on the Sweetpea express when I get home and keep notching up AF days.

East,, glad the party went well. When are you going in for surgery? Sweetpea, glad to see you so upbeat. I know we all have a tendancy to beat ourselves up but I think we are all in a much better place since coming to MWO.

Sorry I have been AWOL. I was away over the weekend visiting Mom and have been working a lot of long hours this week.
