It seems quite today but I guess everyone is busy getting ready for the weekend and the kids are off school. On Day 5 and feeling good. I was just saying on another thread, because I ate so much over the hols, I now dont mind cutting back. The same with Al, I modded well but did have a few drinks every day so I now dont feel deprived. Twisted logic I know but sometimes when I cut back I did feel deprived and felt I had to reward myself with Al!! Trying to get as much AF time as I can before the end of the month, that's the aim for the moment. Not thinking beyond that.

Had a manic day so only just had time to put a post on - This exercising is doing me good I seem to have loads more energy to do things

I have been in contact with Suki via the pm route. She sends her love to everyone and wants you to know she is very appreciative of the support from all the crackers. She has had some time out and will jump on the express again when she feels able - NO PRESSURE SUKI JUST TO SAY WE LOVE YOU AND WILL BE HERE FOR YOU WHEN YOU FEEL READY XX

Sorry not been around but had a surprise visit from son two nights ago,he has moved back home. has all his belogingd piled high in back room!:upset:
Has decided to split with girlfriend ( of 8 years) for the umpteenth time and has debts over his head! has been told he could be made redundant. KIDS!!!!!
Yikes!!!! so much for my tidy house and peaceful life, have to go he is due home soon, have some more sorting out to do.
Will try and catch up later with all the news. Hope you are all doing well.

East..when i read your post made me think of my brother not nice being in debt.
sweetpea.. i'm back lol. that was a quick break.... my kids are on holiday so it will be hard for me to get on the pc. but when i do get the chance i will be posting here there and everywhere.

Today made me realize how lucky i really am,( it could of been me but its not) because theres my brother out of work, (cant get a job) He has no fridge working or freeze, his oven does not work he has debts...like east would say over his head. He only gets 60pounds a week so his shopping he can only spend 30pounds and the rest on bills. Some food is in my freeze not much. But he might have to start eating tin food....and theres me drinking every night. OMG i do feel guilty as hell. If i could i would get him fridgefreeze . last year i got him a bed. its funny when he was drinking he had lots of work lots of money all got spend on AL, now he stop drinking cant get no work. My sister getting angry because she thought she finish paying the bank debt up. but another debt company from the bank saying he owes more money, my sister sent the bank a letter saying if they want there money my brother is willing to pay them, if they can give him a job.lol
Going to make sure my kids have a sober mum so they get my full attention during the holidays.

Welcome back Teardrop. Like yourself, with the kids off, it will be a case of posting here there and everywhere. I miss my morning routine of coffee and MWO fix. Glad to hear Suki is ok, we miss you Suki, check in when you feel able.

Had a busy, busy week-end with lots of driving but got in loads. Was dropping my daugther off and visited MIL in hospital. Its only a hernia op so she's ok physically but mentally its another story. Sad but it is forcing the issue. The family now have to do something, she is no longer able to live alone. Keeping well back from it, there is no way I am becoming the primary caregiver, she has two daughters of her own and really is hard to handle. I'm lucky I dont live close by and am now making hubby take all calls. The next few weeks should be interesting!!!

East, glad your son is home. I know you felt bad when you were not in contact, hope all goes well for you. Sweetpea, you sound very upbeat. I'm starting my second week AF and hope to stay that way until the end of the month and after. No pressure, just taking it ODAT.

Good News...over 2 weeks AF and going strong. I do think about it daily but it seems to be getting easier.....just too much to lose if I slip. I recently split with my significant other (too much under the bridge to keep going) and feel like its new beginnings. A little scary but love reading how all are doing as I pick up my pieces and work on next steps. And it truly is ODAT.

Sweetpea - As for the weather, so sorry but it has been just lovely here. Been trying to send it off your way but MOther Nature keeps taking control somewhere over the Atlantic! But I'll keep trying!

Well done on 2 week indiamike, its a constant struggle but the important thing is to keep trying. I'm on Day 9 and beginning to have drinking thoughts again. However, I'm hoping to make it to the end of the month AF so I have a decent number of AF days in July after the hols. It gives me something to aim for but taking it ODAT.

Have only one daughter at home for the next three weeks so things are not as hectic. However, this one just got the loan of a pony for a year so that's extra work! Worth it though, it keeps her occupied and off the streets. Still giving the outlaws a wide berth. MIL still in hosp and SIL from US rang yesterday and said favourite son had been bullying both her and other sister to come and look after Mum or take her. He has rung my mobile twice, first time I was on phone to hubby so when I heard message just told hubby to ring him back. Last week-end mobile rang and handed it to hubby!! I'm learning.

Has to be quicky today, my builder due any minute!
Have been trying to squeeze sons things back in the house and had clear out in shed.
He is keen on customising cars so a large amount of parts returned with him, have ordered skip to dump more stuff! Yikes:upset:
Good news in that 7 people made redundant my son was not one of them this time, still fragile though, trying to unravell his finances, bit of a mess!
Have to go bell ringing, will try catch up tomorrow!
Still not AF at the moment but not too bad.

Can't believe how quiet it is on MWO at the moment - I think everyone must be enjoying the summer and the holiday season - all those jobs getting done - Still doing us all a load of good so that is the main thing

I am doing fine at the moment and exercising as well but I am going to do some AF time starting on Monday if anyone wants to join me - Initial goal this time 2 weeks and then I shall review. I have been moderating well but I really think that some AF stints are good for the body, mind, soul and not forgetting the waistline:H

Teardrop hope you are getting some nice sunshine in your part of the UK so that you can enjoy the break with your kids - you so deserve it - should at least be a hot day today

Rustop do your dogs like the sunshine or are they better on cold crispy mornings for their walks. You are doing the right thing by stepping back from the outlaws - you have more than already done your bit:l One sign of weakness and they will jump on it so sending loads of strong vibes of strength to resist the obvious onslaught they will try on -:H fantastic tactics with the phone calls

It is indeed quite on the boards. I guess lots of people are away and the kids are off school. I'm with you Sweetpea. I am on Day 10 since coming back from hols and want to get to the end of the month and beyond AF. If I start with you next Monday for two weeks that takes me into the following month. Small goals but its better than drinking every night!!

I kept a record of my AF time last year in a mini calendar and am doing the same this year. It gives me hope when I see that each month this year I am surpassing last year. Constant battle but the result is worth it.

Big hello to everyone. The sun is shining here and the garden is calling. Doggies have been walked and dont like it if it is too hot. The goldie loves to swim so I am trying to pursuade daughter to come with me to a lake one of the days so she has a real treat.
