hi gab,as far as the guilt,remember the guilty things were of the past,and look at what your doing now,whether you stumble or succeed at total abstinance or just modding,is you recognise your problem,i find here mwo is a great place to be,your not chastised for failure,your only recognised for your attempt to succeed and better understand the illness that we have gyco keep on truckin

Enjoy your holiday Sweetpea, you deserve it. Have a lot of catching up to do but I for one would hate to see this thread go. There have been a lot of ups and downs this year, this remained constant. I dont always get to check in but when I do I enjoy reading about who's doing what. Dont feel responsible for us Sweetpea, you take care of you and let us know when things are not going that well. Being able to vent here has kept me sane!!

Hi Firecrackers,
I am not able to sit at computer for long Mr Easts instructions but felt that I have to put my two pennyworth in too!
I have no doubt that if I had not joined the Sweetpea Express last October I would have been in such an incredible mess today. The AF periods of my life during the time has helped me to face the problems that I had in life and for once get them dealt with.
I am healing physically from my operation just now, that would not have happened if it was not for the help and advice, not just about my drink problem but a myriad of other fears that I had that I believed a year ago could be forgotten inside a bottle.
I feel that ALL you guys have helped me reach those important decisions for MY good.
I know that I am on the road to recovery because of you all.
I feel that I have built up a close friendship with you all and would miss the comaradery of this thread.
Sweetpea I wish you better and no we would never lose touch, but I for one will continue on this thread. Even if I will be the last woman standing! You have made a caring place to go for me and many others,As I have said before, it should not be your sole responsibility to keep it going that is too much pressure,we all need time out sometimes. Take care my friend.
Fby My winged friend it has brought tears to my eyes to see you back, you have a way of being there when its important just like my guardian Angel. This ant is a little battered just now but been uplifted again by your words of wisdom,just like the old days past!

So as long as there are people here that want to continue, who will stop us? There will always be predators in life, that is probably the reason most of us are here right now. I for one will not let them beat me else back to square one is where I will be.

East, as the others stated, well said. I don't always keep up with this thread or post daily but you have all been a blessing. Sweetpea, take care of yourself and know that there are people who care and wish you the best. I am AF for September as well. I started Thurs before my first AA meeting on Friday. Wonderful group of women, I imagined some of them were you folks. Had an AF free Picnic with my disfunctional family yesterday and am very proud today. I think I repeated the serenity prayer to myself at least 5 times. Lukalee, I love monkeys and love your avatar. Don't know if you celebrate Labor Day across the pond, have a great relaxing and healthy day.

Hi Firecrackers

Today is my girls first full day back at school so things are finally getting back to normal. It's been a funny summer, lost my cousin in May and then MIL in August so lots of things happened. It seems MIL left everything including personal effects to two sons, (7 in family) never acknowledged that she had two daughters or grandchildren. The will was made 5 years ago so they cant put it down to memory failure. SIL's very upset, I'm not surprised but know hubby felt it regarding our girls. It's the thought that counts, my cousin left me a claddagh ring that she always wore and the girls a piece of jewellery each. They will never wear it but will treasure it as it came from her. The wake and funeral went lovely and then it all ended with this. I'm just relieved it's all over. Fresh start, no stress or agro in the background and today is Day 2 AF.

Hope everyone else is doing good. Love checking in and seeing how everyone is getting on.

3rd day af by tonight. Have been feeling a bit rough. be back to normal routine tomorrow.
work rang me last night to see if i would cover i saiad NO straight away they got me in a bad mood but then felt bad and said maybe friday. i hate it when they ring in the evening it like no time is your own. may be it time for a change of job.
