I am with you EG! My recycling collected today too and boy those bottles made a hell of a noise, advertising my weakness loud and clear to the neighbours.
My hubby has had that talk with me a few times, I told him quite honestly that I found it so hard to abstain, but stuck with this thread, it has helped no end! I seem to have lost my way these last few months but AL certainly plays havoc with the hot flushes!
I will have to kick myself into gear NOW as you say before the Xmas celebrations.
Shelby did you manage to hunker down and finish the book at the weekend?

Well done on your weightloss thats great I wish I could do so well.
I was not perimenopausal at 50 but the second the operation was done was menopausal, Did I miss out do you think? I have an awful memory now I cannot remember names or words, now I know why mum always said "you know who I mean" and "one of those oooh jars!":H:H

Hi All Firecrackers,,
East i think the interview went ok she give me the days i will be working and hours. one of the days are saturday. Had to do a work example last saturday .BUT when i told hubby the hours he said no way he perfers me to be in the kitchen all night long. i think it time my hubby started taking charge in the evenings. I really hope i get it. i think it will help me out and keep me busy. i will be finishing 8pm and if overtime 11pm at least i will not be overdrawn on both bank accounts (this does seem to get me down) Just waiting for the phone call now... fingers cross.

Amelia, Rustop, East and Sweetpea - a big hello!

I am on Day 4. Played Mahjongg last night and for the second time in a row declined the wine while all around me were drinking. May become a habit. Still had a good time but did not stay as late which was fine. Feeling like this time maybe I can do it. For some reason the supps are helping me this time. They really have not in the past. Anyone else experienced that? May just be my frame of mind. At any rate feel like getting the week in will be no problem but really want to keep going!!

Thanks for all your good lucks, but not heard anything yet, it like a waiting game now!

Rustop... hope someone has turn up yesterday. it funny how things goes in three's.
Amelia...good to see you pop in. yep still sticking to my guns had a bad craving yesterday about just before 10pm took a few pounds out my purse thinking will i make it round to the corner shop closes at 10pm had my coat on as well, anyway took my coat of and went to bed.
Evergreen...good for not drinking and well done on 5dayAF today...it funny evergreen how you said about the supp's how they are working this time round......i feel they dont seem to be working for me is all about the frame of mind, the mindset yes i think it plays a BIG PART.
East...i think i lost my memory when i had my second child..lol

But i do notice my trouble is i look ahead stupid me im like a kid looking at the calendar to see how many days i have to 30, it a bit like looking at the christmas calendar for xmas day. i know it should be ODAT but sometimes it is hard.
Anyway i have come down with a bit of a nasty cold notice a few days ago my muscles in my legs were hurting now my body is aching all over ... need to drink lots of water and
vitamin c.

Day 3 and going strong!

Hi everyone ? congratulations to all of you who are doing so well. I can?t believe that I am on Day 3 (not quite up with some of you ? but a miracle for me). Last night was really hard. I realise that cooking tea is a big trigger for me because I always have my first glass then. I was craving so much, I very nearly gave in and went to the shop. However, I keep thinking about Doggygirl?s post in ?Tell us your story? with her before and after photos after just 6 months AF. She looks absolutely fantastic ? like a totally different woman. I want to be like that! Once I had eaten food the craving totally went away.

One weird thing that happens to me when I don?t drink (and it happened before when I tried to give up) is that I keep waking feeling like my heart and breathing stopped (!) I wake up with such a jolt and gasp that it wakes DP up too. I have been taking extra Calms and magnesium before bed and that seems to be helping. Has anyone else experienced this ? I wonder if it?s some kind of panic attack?

Keeping fingers crossed for you Teardrop. All workmen turned up this week, lots of waiting but they did arrive eventually. Now I need a plumber, ughh!! It seems to be one thing after another but getting there.

Lovely autumn day here, woke up without a hangover and had a nice walk in the forest. Lots to be thankful for. Hope everyone has a great week-end.
