Hope you are all doing well. We miss you Sweetpea, looking forward to your return. I'm on Day 8 and last night was a tough one. The first night in the week that I was tempted to have some of hubby's wine. Luckily there were some AF Becks in the fridge so I settled for that. I must stock up on some more. You think you have this thing whipped and then that sneaky AL creeps up behind you. It's a constant battle but I am determined to win.

Its really wet here this morning so I am not getting out on my walk. Hopefully it will ease off later and I will get a short one. I need to put all the xmas decorations in the attic but I hate the thought of it, ugh. How are the house renovations coming along Eastender? Hi to everyone else, catch you all later.

Day 8 AF today feeling a little fed up like you do in January in the UK (need some sun)
My accountant is breathing down my neck for some answers today, so won,t get much time to check in on my pals!

I am sorry if my firecracker fuse has gone out after all these positive posts, but need to let you guys know how I feel.
I took down all the Xmas decs and put away ready for the return of the builders, still waiting..............ull My house is a total mess and I am trying to work AND live in it!


Lost my internet connection yesterday,:shocked: (cables are everywhere at the moment)
Anyway enough of my life, Hope you are all doing OK.

Teardrop. Did you find out how to alter the signature? If not go to User CP (top left hand side of this screen )and on drop down choose edit signature.
I had no idea big brother on again so have not seen any.
Tonite is my favorite programme CSI new series :yay: Love that Grissom. I know..... he's old and bow legged ,thats what Mr East says!

Good morning all. Going to be in the 60's here today. Hoping to walk home from work, I need some fresh air and exercise. Welcome Indiamike, Ezekiel and Mattje. Congratualtions on your AF days so far!

Great place with great people. Please hang around and join Cindi's train. There's lots of room!

Yesterday was a bit stressful at work. I was so tempted to stop somewhere to get something to bring home. Rustop's right, so easy for AL to sneak in. Had a glass+ of AF wine. Don't like the taste so stopped there. Did get some AF Beck's beer, after Rust mentioned it. Not much of a beer drinker anymore, but enjoyed it, fills me up, too, so I don't eat as much!

To all the Firecrackers, have a great day today. To Sweetpea, East, Teardrop, Flutterby, Cindi, Lukalee, Rudemama, and all other FC, hope today brings lots of smiles

Good morning firecrackers,
Ant East, seeing how as in my previous (pre-metamorphic) life I had 16 legs.... I say the more the merrier!! But the wings are a nice touch.... although I wish I knew how to use them. For example:
My xmas stuff is still in a pile under the entrance to the attic,
I haven't completely unpacked from our trip yet - winter clothes need to be put away
Can't see my desk for all the stuff on it
All my windows are screaming "wash me"
etc.....etc.....etc....
So when I do figure out the wing thing I will try to grow some for all the FCs. Although Cindi already has some-- maybe she can give us some instruction.
But seriously, I know how frustrating it must be for you to have to make do with organized chaos. It would drive me crazy too. Doesn't it seem like the more you do, the more you have to do? I don't know if that makes sense, but I do know that one of my New Year's resolutions is to simplify my lifestyle -- less stuff and more time for fun, meditation, relaxing.... We'll see.
Suki --Nice weather here too for getting out and about; hope things clear up for RU to get some walk time in.

Good Afternoon, firecrackers Team.

Flutterby: my mood is scared guess i'v always been scared as a little kid. i can remember i use to get so scared i would nearly pass out. maybe in time i will change it. (Thanks)
Love to have wings. I once try to do hand gliding, but the second day the weather was not good, never did go back.

Eastender: Big Brother Hijack is on E4. eastender dont sit next to me on that train:H I think you may have to stick a pole up your builders bum, to get them moving on.
Rustop: well done 8days AF. Its raining here, roll on summer, always puts me in a good mood.
Suki: Maybe the more you drink af drinks the more you might get use to it. pass some of that nice weather over here, could do with some. i'm planing to start exercise soon, not sure maybe running (but to cold) or circuit training.
sweetpea: Hope all is well.
Day1 AF: hate the way my brain plays trick on me, but going to stick by my guns and say NO. Anyway going to have a nice hot cup of tea to relax, and a bath. my son got me moltom brown, bath, shower and lotion set, for xmas shall use that today. i think my kids know me better than my other half. just before xmas they ask me has martine cole or leasley pearse got a new book out yet. knowing they would of got it for xmas for me. read all there books just waiting for the next one to come out. ( its only day1 and i'm pickin holes at my other half already, think i better go before i say somethink i regret.)

This afternoon I have been to the Doctors and got me a prescription of Campral. I'm feeling great right now, something psychological there, only had two pills and I'm on a bit of a buzz, wierd.
Going to sit down with my wife and watch a movie (Casino Royale) together, something that we don't do very often, and I'll probably be awake at the end and remember it!

I know as I have already asked you that your mood sign stays on 'scared'....
I think I 'may' know what you mean....becoming sober is incredibly scary. It means leaving behind the 'numbing', 'fun' or 'not so fun' tools that we have used to get by with in the past,....for whatever reason.
I have met you when we have both been sober and under what I felt where stressful circumstances! ,...
I liked talking to you a lot and just want to add my support once again.

Just checking in so I don't have to clean up my quarters. It takes me soooo long to unpack and get the clutter under control. Oh well.

Teardrop-- I can't believe you can consider yourself chronically "scared" if you have tried hang gliding. That takes guts (among other things). I do think you have the right stuff and are just waiting to let loose. Go ahead and tell me to shut up, but I think you should consider changing your avatar to something with wings :wings: -- I can tell you want to FLY!!
Maybe you can teach us how to do it!

Flutterby: it ok i will not tell you to shout up. only did hand gliding just the once but with lots andlots of help. my avatar with tears means somethink to me . But i did save another two pictures one of a rock and in the middle is a shape of a teardrop it does look nice. The other one that i really like is the sea and in the sky there is cloud but there is a shape of a heart shining through.

Have to go see u all soon.
