Hi Firecrackers

Start of another week and hopefully a good one. Hang in there anyone who is struggling, once you string a few AF days together it will get easier. Well done, Teardrop, 14 days is wonderful.

Managed to stay AF during the week-end. Lent is a great excuse. We were out for dinner on Saturday night and I passed on the wine. It was hard but I felt great afterwards, it was the first time that I did not feel deprived. Maybe something is clicking into place, I hope so.

Hope eveyone is looking forward to a new today and Sweepea, do not be so hard on yourself.

One Day a a time and know that if you want us...we want you! No, we need you!

I am 20 days sober and working through a few tough things on my end but I get so much support from you all on the alcohol end which only makes things easier and clearer now and for the future.

Reading all of your Firecracker posts on seeing how hard we are all trying (and sometimes slipping) helps volumes. We can do this.

East.. my daughter had a good time.. chocolate fountain was a bit of a mess but was very nice. my daughter got a violin for her b'day taking lessons at school. i've always wanted to play the clarinet. (love the sound it makes)
maryann.. well done on your af days.

Had a dream last night use to get these dreams when i was a teenager. when your sleeping and you know your sleeping and you can see yourself. just was walking around the house. its like a outer of body experience, but your sleeping. anyway i'm not going mad!

:surrender: Thank you all so much for your supportive posts and also the PM messages that I have received, not only from you lovely Firecrackers but from folks that have never posted on this thread. So as long as, when I am not having an AF day, I can keep up alongside the Sweetpea train in the MODmobile :racer: I shall feel comfortable being a Firecracker :yougo:. So for the time being my goal is to MODERATE with AF times between until I can get my Pea brain into real AF mode xxx

Teardrop so pleased the party went well. I regret not keeping up with piano lessons when I was younger because it would be so nice to be able to play an instrument now. You will have hours of enjoyment listening to your daughter mastering the violin and she will appreciate all your support in helping master a musical instrument. Very well done on your 14 days AF

Eastender you are right, how could I forget all my adopted family and even think about quitting - I fell ashamed I even thought about it - If being AF was easy none of us would be here!! So its head down in the MODmobile or a window seat in the Sweetpea express from here on in. As long as I can keep from going over the top I shall be content.

Lukalee I really appreciated the big hug xx There is always room for more in the MODmobile racer if you are struggling. The most important thing for me is that if I am struggling being AF is that I don't go over the top and end up hurting others by doing, saying or forgetting things which only leads to me being depressed because I hate myself for being so weak willed - which then leads to me thinking that the whole world hates me!!!! God what a merry go round this is BUT it took us all a very long time to get here so I suppose I am being very unrealistic to think it is going to go away quickly. The main thing I think we all need to measure is HOW MUCH BETTER we are now in relation to how we were before. In my case I know there is a big improvement and as long as I can build on that success then I am moving forward - Sorry I have just read that back and it is a bit of a ramble but you know what I am trying to say - So hang on in there and I am right by your side

You are right Sweetpea, it did take us all a lot of time to arrive at the stage we were at when we joined MWO. Just by being here we are all going in the right direct. This time last year I was drinking a bottle of wine a night. I looked back the other day and I had just 4 AF days in February. This year it will be 20 something, nearly the whole month AF. We have to concentrate on how far we have come and not let Al influence us into thinking we are getting nowhere so why not go back drinking. He's trying to brain wash us but it wont work because there is safety in numbers!!!
