Sounds like you are getting things worked out. Please keep posting when you feel like it but in the meantime.. Here are a couple of suggestions that seem to help me during troubled times....
Get as much rest as you can. Even if it is just sitting and breathing deeply.
Try to think about something positive and non-related to your drinking right now. Like what a good person you are.
I would like to confirm that, here and now, so it must be true!!
Let your spirit shine through... it will lead you in the right direction.
And know that we care about you. Here's a little of my spirit shining through to you from across the miles. Can you feel it?
It will NOT be kicking your ass, it will be holding your hand.
Hang in there baby .. you've come a long way.

Sweetpea... so glad you have post in ....please dont be sorry.....we all love u lots, i hope this break does the world of good for you...take care my little sweetpea.x everyime i look at my cavalier king charles i always think of you.

Gary... like suki said learn from this experience and you will come a stronger person....you are still an inpiriation to us....so dont forget...ok.
Greeneyes... beatle i have notice sometimes she has a break or is busy... i'm sure she is ok.

Anyway..lol cant believe the pope change st patricks day on the 15th this year because the 17th fall on holy week. and i was not going to drink on st paddy's day....A lot of my irish friends will just make a long weekend of drinking. day1 af for me i will not drink today the 17th.

I have just been in to catch up on the posts of the last few days since being out of town and I just have to write this:

Please, do not feel ashamed, and do not for one minute feel you have not helped in a huge way everyone on this thread in so many ways. I am 41 days AF and so much is because of your kind words, thoughts, and emails when i failed to check in and kudos when I stayed AF.

I try to come to this site every weekday at least once or twice and check in with all of you but first look to your threads. I will now go check out Help to get a bit more up to speed, but I had to let you know how important you are to us all. And I am happy to assist as Asst engineer for the Sweatpea Express if you would like. (This way I do get to tout that train whistle when I like!)

I know our families are beyond unforgiving at times. They usually just fail to understand but also love us so much. It hurts and only time can heal. Please say hello to Mr. Pea for all of us as well. We're hear for you both.

We face this challenge daily and sometimes hit the summit of the mountain and sometime stay in our tents at basecamp. we are here to support one another and tug on the shorelines as needed to help us find a safe berth...in only for a while.

Still without computer!!! No sorry have computer back but hubby forgot the cable and that's in work and he's travelling!!! Kids are off school for two weeks so I would not have much time for posting anyways. I go to the local library and do my interet grocery shopping once a week and get to catch up with you guys. I really miss logging in every day.

Sweetpea hang in there. You have been such a help to so many of us. Take your break, we are all waiting there for you when you come back. Good luck everyone else.

With Sweetpea away (although we are all wishing she will post asap), I suggest we try a roll call today to just let her know how everyone is doing today, how we miss her and how we are working to help each other.

There it is! The train whistle has begun - I'll go first!

All is well, busy, busy day at work and tonight I get to go pickup my amazing kitty, Ali who has been being kitty sat by a friend while I was away. She's such a trip and I miss having her snuggle up at night. Totally AF today, no green beer last night but still enjoyed St Paddy's Day!

i'm back & AF 2 whole days,

thank you all 4 your kind words and support. i kind of stayed away from the computer a couple of days. to get my ducks back in order, and feel much much better. i thank God that i stayed out of trouble sunday. i knew when i went to watch the parade that morning, that it was something i should not do. but my mind seemed to rationalized the situation and then, it was like i had no mind at all. al is very very powerful. it erased everything i learned from you guys. i mean everything, i didn't even think of the computer or MWO. al won. but i want a rematch, and give al a kick in the you know what. i'm better without it, and i've seen it. i want to win again, and thats why i'm here, and will put thoughts of you guys first, and not second. i will hang in there. thanks again.:cupajoe: coffee is better anyway. gary

Hi Firecrackers,

Sorry I have not checked in , been so busy sorting Van problems and helping daughter decorate and choose new kitchen /bathroom. Bank of Mum and Dad and all that!
So proud of her, she was always a responsible kid, born aged 40 if you know what I mean.
Can be too much of a mother hen and has in the past been hurt bad.
Like her mother she is a fighter!
I am jumping on the train with everyone else today, we have all had a rough time maybe its the time of year, change of season and all that!
We must as Gary says keep this train moving even if we have to get out and push!
This is going to be hard and even if we slip, check in for the never ending support that is always given.
So with my overalls on and paintbrush in hand I am off for another day of hard work.
I will check in later to make sure that the train is fully loaded and spic and span for Sweetpea when she returns.
I love all you guys and miss it when I am not here, but you are always with me and always in my thoughts.
