Hi Firecrackers,

Back from Easter holiday in northern New England. I think it is the only area on this planet that is not experiencing global warming! Morning temps hovering around zero combined with the wind chill = an indoor event. No skiing for this (xtreme) cold weather weenie :boohoo:
But had a good visit with my family and a peaceful Easter. Had a talk with God and he assured me that things were going to be fine. Put in a good word for all the firecrackers too!

So today, I am putting on my AF wings :wings: and staying waaaaay out of AL's way.

OGDAT ant East -- missed you! Thanks for keeping the fire burning.

the last pool nite

i made it successful last night,AF. but drank 4 energy drinks. won't do that again, couldn't get 2 sleep after. now i know why they call em energy drinks. duh. lol. glad u guys are posting, try to here every day. and draw support from each and every one of you. thanks so much, on day 12. still have those thoughts, as to why i'm different, from people who do drink? must trudge on. east ur doing a good job, keeping us all informed on everyone. got to go, bye, 4 now.gary. 4 winks should b enough, huh?

I know all of us are not quite getting to where we want to be - me as the biggest offender BUT we are much much better than where we were before joining MWO - so it is all positive

I such sooooooooo love all the new smiles. I have just spent 10 minutes looking at them all

Great to hear from you Rustop it was such a lovely day for walking the dogs. Wish I had one myself but we go away so often that I would have to put it into kennels too much which would not be fair

What a Day! I wonder when they'll roll out the cake?!

I just had to check in even though I am up to my ears in work and people knocking down my door (Gosh, can't a girl have some private time?)

Sweetpea, I am so proud to be on the Sweetpea Express and hope those that may be lurking will join in to make this motley crew even bigger (and more focused on defeating our nemesis, AL). Besides, with gas/petrol at an all time high we need the extra fares to keep chuggin' along.

Meanwhile, I'm proud of all of you staying focused on the goal. I know we slip sometimes but its awesome that we keep trying. And yes, at least for me, it is getting easier as I go. I think about AL less and less.

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend and has much to share on Monday!

Hi Firecrackers,

Yes Erin it does the heart good to see the success here, but I am too close to the slips to feel secure at the moment. One thing I am at the moment is determined!
Had some "womens" problems the last six months or so and went to see Doc this morning!
Yikes! When he climbed out (with the help of the nurse )he sent me off to the hospital!
Had Full MOT according to the nurse including levels of everything contained in my blood including Liver test! Had been avoiding that one for ages! Oh well, had to have it done sometime! dead scared though, need to have ultrascan in a week or so as well.
Just when I had started to DO something about my health!Does'nt life just have a way of spoiling your best moments eh!

Given up blowing the whistle today, just no puff left!

Just wanted to jump on this thread and say "hi" to all!! I am going between so many, I can't keep up with everyone.

Sweetpea, I've missed you. Haven't had a chance to see you in chat for a while. Hope all is going well.

East, sorry about the exam and the results. PLEASE keep us posted. I went voluntarily to get my blood work done so I could start the Antabuse. Antabuse is contraindicated for liver disorders as it itself can do some liver damage. I was drinking 2-3 bottles of wine a day or 2 bottles of vodka a day. My liver enzymes were fine.

I'll be thinking of you and sending prayers out that you are okay. In the meantime, stay AF, stay calm and smile whenever you feel the anxieties come on. For some reason even a forced fake smile makes things feel better. I have no idea why.

Everyone else, lots of love and lots of admiration for the support and hard effort. God only knows how hard this is. We are all up to it.

I'm on Day 5, had a lot of drinking thoughts last night but luckily fell asleep on the couch before I could act on them!! Some days are a breeze and others can be so hard, I guess thats the nature of the beast.
