Got past day1... it funny last week in my 1to1 sessions i said the think i miss is that.. GET UP AND GO FEELING.. not had that the last 2 and half years ago. MADE ME :upset:
Got to bed early last night and had a nice hot:bath2: ... tape The apprentice, so i will watch that today. Need to get to bed early again helps me stop thinking !!!!!

You are right Teardrop, going to bed early does help. I have been going early all week with my book and it keeps me out of trouble. I am also trying to loose weight and not eat past 6 o'clock so it also keeps me out of the cupboard!!! Remember all those days count. I think it was Universal yesterday who counted up all her AF days since January and was pleasantly surprized. WE ARE GETTING THERE.

Just checking in.

Teardrop-- Your post inspired me to imagine the perfect day. Sleep in very late, a long walk on the beach, a soak in the hot tub, go to bed very early, and absolutely no thinking in between. Wow-- just thinking about that make me feel better. oops -- no thinking! Maybe I can internalize that feeling without thinking and hold on to it all day-- this I will try.

Rustop-- I wish I had dogs. We only have cats (I love them dearly) but they don't like to go on walks. I will insert dogs into my imaginary perfect day to accompany me on my walk. They won't be any specific breed because I like all kinds... except for little yippers-- they can be annoying. I do like them though --most are kind of cute-- but I just don't want to be exposed to all the yipping.

Hi antEast....have you any results yet? Please come walk with me on the beach today-- I will be looking for you and any of the other FCs that might want to go for a stroll.

Sorry about your lost post Sweetone --I hate when that happens. Hope you are having a good day today and are excited about preparing for your ABS.

Teardrop having an early night after a nice hot bath is a good way to relax. I know what you mean about losing the get up and go - I normally feel like that when I am depressed - which has been quite frequent over the past few years. Do I drink because I am depressed or am I depressed because I drink - haven't managed to sort that one out in my head yet!!!!! Still it will come to me one of these days

Hi Firecrackers,
Just got back from hospital (not for me) our window fixer had an accident ,cut hand bad on machine Ooch! needed accident and emergency! same hospital as I have been frequenting!
Well one window done, looks like house is going to look odd for a while, has broke his fingers too! poor soul! Will not be able to work for sometime.

The Universe is sure giving me what for at the moment! Or is it that Devil AL finding ways to try and make me drink?

Anyhow "I have the wisdom to know what I cannot change"

Teardrop Good for you on your tactics to fool AL,If you have to go out at night just think I am in the car with you,that would be enough to scare most off:H

Fby No results as yet..... I would love to go for that walk on the beach and watch the sunset on our twin Hammocks. The escalator and lift is a bit limiting in its view, so on my next session I will be with you, no shoes and white sand in my toes, rippling warm waves...........peace at last
Such a lovely idea relaxed me just to think about it!

Rustop I am including my Labrador (which I have always wanted, but do not have) in my dream on the beach, I do envy those morning walks you have with your four legged friends. Nothing but concrete pavements here!

There is a definite feel of spring in the air. Spent some time in the garden yesterday which was lovely. Have a busy week-end planned. We have been stock piling for a skip for months and months and have it booked for this week-end so I will be busy filling it. I might also rent out the Tudors (mini series about Henry VIII which had been on TV). I only saw one or two episodes but it looked good. Noticed they have the whole thing on DVD so that should keep me busy.

Can you believe it got to bed early last night but could not get to sleep..lol

Sweetpea.. you got me thinking... I posted on a thread yesterday in general discussion one of hippie threads... changing unhelpful thoughts. well his doing a course on CBT.
His doing negative automatic thoughts. writing down keeping a thought record.(you should read this)
I found this interesting because i have to do this on my 1to1 seesion, but on Emotion. Have to write down before i want that drink think what im thinking, thoughts, feelings and my emotions how i feel inside and write it down.( i do find this hard but i will stick with it) My counsellor give me a copy of a chapter to read..Use Your Emotions Rather than Worry About Them. Anyway the name Tom Borkovec a psychologist come up he sounds interesting look him up on the internet.
I hope this may help anyone on this thread... who know.

My friends say I should write a book about my life that it is just like a farce, still its my life and it may seem comical to the outside world but these things really do happen to me!
What was I in a previous life? I wonder.......

I think it may be interesting for me to read that book, my emotions do control me, that does not make me weak, it keeps me strong in many things. Making them work for me sounds interesting!
