Morning all hope everyone had a good weekend

Had a very good weekend but a little slip :sigh:but managed not to go overboard Hmmmmmmmm think I won't think in days but hours at the moment. But I am not beating myself up and have got straight back on the train and back to AF

East sorry about the water heater but the end is in sight and you can then concentrate on a bit of quality time for yourself - you deserve it. 38 days AF you are an absolute star xx Sorry to hear that the fibroids will have to be removed surgically but think how much better you are going to feel afterwords - and no more pain which is the main thing. So pleased that the news from your mum was so good at least that is one worry less for you :l

Lukalee day 23 well done keep going you know you can do it. Yes the tapes have the same effect on me - one minute listening the next snoring - but good for the stress levels

FBY can so relate to the snoring thing. Used to go to yoga but got so embarrassed every time we did the relaxation thing because I would always wake myself up snoring!!! a tad embarrassing in a room full of folk

East... like sweetpea said you will feel a lot different after the surgery in yourself , but for NOW take it easy.x 'no' 13 turn out to be lucky by the way 15days af for me.
Well done mad mummy you sound great. keep up the good work.
Flutterby...lol i often want to fall asleep during church mass(when i go) BUT love going in a church when its empty and you can hear your own foot steps and the smell of candles burning...i can just sit there and switch off into another world of my own.
Sweetpea well done you are a strong person not to beat yourself up and getting straight back on that train good positive thinking well don again. your the best.x

Well saturday did go out with a friend for a drink felt proud of myself i did not drink. we did go into a dodgy pub could not wait to get out NOW that the first for me!...yes its amazing when your sober you have your wits about you.. there was one guy that look mad twice he come up and tap me around the head. The last pub was ok. Thank God!
dont like going to the pubs in my area never have done i always miss the pubs in london where i use to live. Anyway that my story for the weekend.

Teardrop day 15 you are doing so well and congratulations for not succumbing to a drink in the pub. It does make you see things differently when you have not had a drink - some folk in pubs look decidedly dodgy at the best of times let alone when you are stone cold sober (AL has a tendency to make everything look rosy but I suppose that is his big attraction!!!! after all it can't be his looks:alf: HA HA) Thanks for the words of support -greatly appreciated xx

Slipped up!

Hi Firecrackers, Seems weird but whenever I make an out and out statement about going AF I don't! Why is that?

Yesterday I went onto drink tracker and marked down my plan to, at least, go until the end of this week AF. Went out last night to a village meeting which went on and on and on..... for more than 2.5 hours and then when I got home exhausted...... yep you've guessed it Not an excessive amount (2 glasses wine) but that is more than zero which is what I'd planned:hitme: so trying again

Madmummy, all we can do is keep trying. The worst thing we could do is stay away. Today is another day. I must admit I have been so disappointed with myself, especially when I see people getting months and months of AF under their belt. I was encouraged yesterday by one of Chief's posts. I aways imagined that he started the programme and became AF immediately but it seems it was on his third attempt. So keep trying.

Rustop... I to was encouraged by chief post it funny seeing my brother with more Af days makes me feel disappointed in myself BUT now i think... he can do, it so can i.

Mad mummy... Dont give up i just started at first with 1af day under mybelt then i got 3 but in between drinking and then it increase to 1week and so on....you did well by just having 2glasses and not a whole bottle...so well done!

I even use a dry erase marker to write affirmations on my mirror so they will be staring me in the face when I'm getting ready for work. Hey-- whatever it takes!

Not very nice here today but managed to get me walk in so thats good.

Have workmen here digging up the garden, we have a problem with drainage. My husband has spent weeks looking after the lawn, it had just greened up and now its a mess. He wont be a happy camper but this job needed to be done. Off to make the necessary cups of tea.
