FinallyRN, I'm sorry I didn't get to the group hug. Had the most awesome pm with Sweetpea at 3 am Boston time, she is my lifeline.

Had an incredibly busy day today and also tomorrow. Will need a vacation from my vacation. But getting so much done. Went clothes shopping today, f@#k those three-way mirrors. Went straight to Sephora for makeup. Can't afford to buy clothes now!

Busy day tomorrow, but promise I'll check in. Sweetpea twisted my arm, OUCH.

Sweetpea, anyone who knows you knows that you meant lots of love, not laughing out loud. So obvious in your posts.

4:00m am Boston time, getting up to drive to Cape Cod to meet with person at Mom's condo about the crack in the ceiling (guess it's mine and my sister's now), then to the lawyer's about the lawsuit against me by the sleazy real estate agents, then to a 5 pm board meeting, then to a Boston Bruins hockey game. Then probably crashing.

Sweetpea was trying to twist my arm to check in more. She's right. Something has been missing in my life this vacation.....the firecrackers.

East, my best friend has a son like your daughter. My friend keeps saying that a parent's role is to teach their kids to fly. Nick is now 19. is/was very learning disabled, but has blossomed into an outstanding kid. Shouldn't say kid, he's not a kid anymore. Had sex at an early age, drank, hung around with deadbeats, was very angry. But he now "gets it". He is in college, couldn't wait to live on campus. Now lives at home, says he now knows what his mom (saw his dad die 6 years ago) has been trying to do for him, and he does not want to jeopardize that. Says he wants to study, not to party. In fact, he's my date for the Bruins game. But, who am I to talk about kids, since I don't have any.

I want to thank everybody for their comments on my new avatar...Knut. Thanks to Sweetpea, East and others.

Evergreen, just read your comments about "sparks"! You are so right.

Going to Cape Cod early, in order to get a long walk on the beach. Wish I had Rustop's dogs with me or else Bessie's horse (with training wheels or a side car, perhaps). Anyway, the sea air does wonders! Hope all have a good day!

Suki, you enjoy your long walk on the beach in peace. The dogs might force you to walk them but the last time our JR was on a beach he ate a rotton something and got pancreatitis, the time before he got a fish hook with bait stuck in his mouth. Has cost a fortune in vets bills so he is banned from the beach!!!

It's been awhile...

Hi all...
Just a quick hello and check-in.... I've missed you all. Spent Cmas in CA. Fun, drank too much. Got home, way too busy, stressed, still drinking too much. Really want to catch up on everyone's posts... I will try. Computer died a week ago... (borrowing/logging on here and there) looks like a new one will be necessary *sigh* I look forward to catching up with all of you and getting back on track. I'm not doing well at all and I'm really not feeling great. For the first time ever, I think I'm actually feeling the physical effects of the drinking... it's scary. I just wish it would scare me enough to quit drinking.
I hope you're all doing spectacular!! Again, I really look forward to catching up and getting re-inspired from all of you!!
