It is Sat afternoon, just stopping in and only have time to post on one thread, but glad to see ya Whtwshman, hangin in there I see....................good job!!:goodjob:

Everyone else, East, and Teardrop, hope you are doing ok on this Sat.......................I am 20 days AF (GOD willing after today is over).................it DOES get easier (a little) as time goes by, my triggers (I figured out what they mostly are)don't seem to get me like I used to let them, so I am constantly on guard and looking at the positive, like waking up clear and feeling pretty good.......................feeling a little better today, thanks for the well wishes!!!:thanks:

Everyone yet to join, have a wonderful Saturday, will try to pop back in tomorrow, if not DEFINTELY on Monday!!

Hi Firecrackers

Bright sunny morning in blighty but storms forecast today, guess maybe the calm now!
Managed to stay mod yesterday just 1 glass with dinner. Never seem to have trouble when out, its when get home. Still too late and I was in bed sober. just feel tired today from late night.

Teardrop :racer: (Always reminds me of you hon) Thank you soo much for your post, Neverending story is so right! The "nothing" taking over life in the story, just like AL!
Coming here at 8.30am sunday morning means that drinking does not leave my mind very often either.
When the weather gets better it seems that there are more opportunities to drink as you say. I will try with your advice to dust myself down today and get going.

Good morning all. I wish I could say that I was AF yesterday. Even though East was watching my back, I completely lost it. Don't know what happened. Not mad at myself, just incredibly disappointed in my lack of control. Drank all day. Haven't done that before. Spent a lot of time this morning looking for my glasses. Not hungover, just so upset at myself.

Dex, glad you're here! Love the firecrackers. This is a perfect place for you to be!

Maasai, I wish I liked running. Hate it, but love walking. I think today will be a good day for me to go for a long walk. Give me time to think about yesterday and come up with ideas of how I can prevent it in the future. I bought some walking sneakers a while ago. Called MBTs. Maasai Barefoot Technology. Supposed to be the best way of walking. I think of you everytime I look at them. Going to have to start using them.

East, I should have listened to you my friend. I completely blocked you out, every time I poured a drink.. Staying home all day is bad for me. Reminds me of how much I have to do. Al makes me forget. BUT, then the next day, there is more to do. I hate Al! He picked up on my rollercoaster ride, making sure that I was heading down all day yesterday.

Teardrop, I am going to take your advice, pick myself up, dust myself off and go for it, getting as far away from Al that I can. I did it before, 22 days AF.

MA, so excited for you! 20days. How awesome!.

Gary, would you pound a little confidence and sense into my silly head. The bad brain cells won yesterday. Don't want that to happen again.

To Sweetpea and all other firecrackers, going to think of you all day, hope that if I think of Al, that one of you gives me a big smack on the back of my head.

i'm baack, and AF

sorry about my delayed post. actually went 2 church 2day(1st time in about a year). good thing. a couple i used 2 know was there, and invited me out 4 lunch, and then wouldn't let me pay. that was sooo kind of them.whats nice about this is, there are people in this world we trudge through, don't care of what or where u have been, they still have open arms for you. AF does work, outside of all our bad thoughts we have about ourselves. i pledge to be here daily to lift up each and everyone of you. you guys make me laugh and i want to make you laugh. ya i'm doin it, but i keep getting those stupid thoughts. i'm no better than anyone else here. yesterday, when my favorite team(wi. badgers) played on tv, i couldn't get it. so i thought about going 2 the bar and watching it. but i said no, al would of hurt me. i knew this, didn't like it, but i listened on the radio.damn sacrifices, i have to make now. u see i'm not a home drinker, so going out is a bad thing. i hope i'm not sounding too me,me,me. i just need you guys support and hope you accept mine. i'll try and limit these books i type from now on. lol. :hug: gary, i think i'm beginning to understand where i'm at on this site.:yay:

Well we have been hit by a bad storm in the Uk, and not out of the woods yet!
Hope Sweetpea no affected by any travel delays.
Been to the dentist today for regular check up,had injection so feeling little sorry for myself.
Still not AF :bang but still trying. I will get there, I have done it before will do again!

Suki We must be on the same wavelength at the moment, finding it hard as well and ditto your feelings on lack of control. I work from home and constantly feel I do not get anything done! when working for the business I worry about the chores mountain and vice-versa need to discipline myself a great deal more than I do. My Libra nature I guess.
Don't let it get you down, you end up in a vicious circle. just start again today. I am aiming to stay determined at being AF today, join me just for today!

Maasai. I hope that the weather is a lot better where you live than here, we are being told in the Uk to stay indoors and don't venture out into the storm . Impossible running weather, you keep up the running and I will be with you in spirit.
