Rustop... No sun here just rain early on ...hold on i can see a bit of sun trying to come out...cant wait for the summer so l can leave my kitchen door open.

Yesterday talked my hubby out of having a BBQ this saturday for his birthday which is on monday.....so he will be going out with his friends on friday. We shall go out as a family to a restaurant on monday i will be driving. Need to keep strong and have my wits about me this weekend.

Hi all. Doing better today. I think it is because I have my kids tonight and did not last night. I told myself I would not drink around my kids anymore, and for some reason that has been pretty easy, although I get quite irratable at times. Now, why can't I just make other promises to not drink and it will be that easy? I think it is because I get lonely and bored when they are not here. After I got divorced I created a life where AL was involved when they were gone. Then eventually it turned into drinking all the time, even when they were here. Hmmm! More stuff to ponder.

:happy: Day 2 AF a small step in the right direction as I have been having a really tough time trying to stay AF. I have moderated very well most of the time but I really want to have a good stint on the AF front so I am on that train and rolling along again. So AL know that I am not available to party with :xmouth:

Eastender how did it go at the docs. It was really great chatting yesterday did you manage to get the daughters flat ready for the carpets going down today? 34 days AF awesome I hope to be following right behind you - hope your sons birthday did not derail you in your quest.:l

Lukalee I am so pleased that you are managing to keep big AL at bay when the kids are around - one of my biggest regrets is that I have not managed that over the years but now really try hard to be good when they are here. If we can build on those days that they are around maybe we can string more and more AF days together. As I said yesterday I am taking ODAT but would really like to achieve another 30 days +. So get on the train beside me and lets go for it xx

Yesterday did go to 1to1 session and afterwards went for my group session i explain to them why i walk out after we had a teabreak she was very understanding and said if i needed to ring her anytime i could ( felt quiet choke) Anyway there was a man in his early 60s cant walk very well because he has got brain damage from AL. (really made me think hard)

Haven't been able to fight my way to the PC the last few days for children in the way. Am heading towards a really good moderate week - amazingly good for me. You are all such a support.

East you are doing so well am sure you can do it but I know missing people can make you think a drink is going to be good.

Sweetpea - you and me both regarding AL free I get to day 3 and it all goes to pot - I'm trying for Thurs, Fri and Sat this week......:upset: could be a hard one!

Just got back from daughters flat carpet laid and curtains up,Hope it will cheer her up when she gets home from work. will be moving her furniture in tonight.
Well I did it, made it past my personal best 34 days today!
Had a horrendous day yesterday,If I can get through that without AL,I was mistaken in the past about my resolve!

Sweetpea Good for you on keeping AF for 2 days, The first five always the worst for me remember?
Saw Doc about my Womens dept,He told me that I was suffering fron multiple Fibroids the largest of them measures 6cm x 5.8cm! Well!!!! all this time I have blamed AL for not being able to wear belts! Turns out I have been carrying a bag of apples around!He is arranging for me to see gynocologist(?) will have to see what the next step is at hospital.He has given me a prescription and the label is clearly marked AVOID ALCOHOL who would have thought now I have an excuse!
Got home from that to a panicky call from my Mum who has been called by hospital for further tests after her mammogram on Monday,she was very upset I won't be able to speak to her till tonight

Rustop,that reward question has always called to me,I also have trouble in letting go.
This time I am trying to put that "carrot" out of my head so that there is no date to wait for.

Teardrop Day 11 AF good for you,I know you can do the weekend, think of me :no: any time you are tempted.
My two uncles have bad legs from drinking too much, My grandfather suffered with Gout for years before they amputated his leg prior to his death,it is frightening what AL can do.

Lukalee makes you more sad Yep thats why when really sad yesterday I chose not to torture myself any further. AL also has the same effect when I am feeling lonely. AL + Loneliness= 10 times more loneliness

DC Howdy drinktracker neighbour! Is your avatar cat yours? He/she looks like my cat I had when young,She really was disapproving she decided when I had my son ( she was 5 years old) that she no longer could live with us and went to live with my sister. Sometimes when I think about that now I think her sixth sense on my son may have been right!
My sister looked after her for a further 13 years! She was soooooo choosy............cat not sister:H

Mad Mummy Day 5 was my worst day just could not get past it for months until I DECIDED that enough was enough! I was going to do it! and long periods during that day on MWO got me through. Here I am! You CAN do it,believe you can and you will. Bit like childbirth,horrendous but relieving when over!

Good morning firecrackers!!!!
The way I have been avoiding AL is by sleeping too much---not a good thing either. So I am trying to think of other, better ways to avoid it. I am trying to create some sort of a plan.
Yesterday I rode the exercise bike for 3 miles. After I got off, my neighbor was going out for a walk, so I ran out and walked with her as the boys rode along.
I am getting my hair chopped off today, and then I am walking again with my new exercise buddy.
I know Saturday is going to be torture for some reason. I have a gift certificate to the mall, and I am going to go use it on Saturday to buy some new clothes if and when things start to get rough. I just know if I make it past Saturday, I WILL reach 30 days!!!!!!
