Ahh . . .clear heads all around!! It does put a little pep in your step!! Why is that glass (bottle) or wine worth those sluggish times!! IT'S NOT!

How old are your girls rustop? I have 3 : 19, 18 and 14. My oldest are off to college and the youngest is currently an only child!! A new place for her!! I think most of my life is organized chaos!

Teardrop, I had a really low day yesterday as well. It is nice to get past those.

Everyone is sounding really positive and I'm a little ashamed as Teardrop, Rustop and Evergreen are battling away with the AF and I've only managed 2 nights this week so far.

East hope you're continuing to improve - it is a slow old job sometimes isn't it? And of course Sweetpea always cheery and up beat!

Good to hear from you again Madmummy Evergreen and Kat 20,
Very short on time today. Have had a few busy bods around the last few days.
The weekend I have my sis visiting with her husband:egad: Have never managed to get along with him the last 30 years!
I was looking forward to sis visiting,I thought it would be a girley time, you know,home pedicures facepacks the works. but have her moody controlling hubby to amuse!My sister does not know I frequent this website, she would love to find a chink in my armour. Has spent most of her life trying desperately to find one. (middle child syndrome)
She has always referred to me as the alcoholic what joy for her to find out she was right!
So may be absent for a few days if cant read and post. I will be thinking of you all.
Evergreen, My youngest hated her two siblings leaving home, she said sadly that she was an "only child", until just recently, her brother moved back. Now she wishes she was an only child she can't wait for him to move out again!
Oh and thank you for your birthday wishes, I love the card and words very much Teardrop:l

East hope your sisters visit goes well - send her hubby out on various missions that takes hours to do :H that way you can get some quality time with your sister:l

Rustop you are right keeping busy helps with keeping Al at bay. I have started going to the local sports centre at least twice a week and it has certainly lifted my mood and kept me away from temptation. Wish I had the same enthusiam for house work though!!!!!! Still my house is clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy

Mad Mummy at least you have had 2 days which is more than some folk are doing so keep going

Evergreen my kids have left home and I do miss that chaotic feeling at times but I have got the grandchildren to look forward to when the time comes

Everngreen..im with you on that stopping this madness. i love your avatar always reminds me of blowing that bubble gum when i was a kid.Hope your day is a better one i hate those low daus that when we have to be so stronge in our selfs.
Rustop ..you are keeping busy i think wooden floor is so easy to clean. wish i had wooden floor downstairs.
Madmummy..please dont feel ashamed you did 2nights the main think is your here and you are battling it out as well.
East ..i hope you do find sometime with your sister on your own, maybe get your hubby to take your brother inlaw out on his own. have a good time.

Sweetpea... reading your post it so good that you go to the gym twice a week it does make a lot of differents in mind body and soul.

wow i think we have all improved a lot from last year i know i feel a lot stronger in myself reading back on my last years posts my god i do feel like im changing it may take that bit longer but sometimes it is all so worth it at the end. i have a busy day tomorow got to be up early to m.o.t my car then pay the mortage then go to brotheers house do shopping then got to sister house then back home and try and relax but i really want to have a good clear out in the house and shed before the end of october so i can do a boot sale. make a bit of money.

It is good to hear of everyone's busy lives - sucesses and frustrations. We certainly don't battle this in a vacuum.

Teardrop, when I came back I changed my avatar (from peaceful, boring flowers). I thought I needed to attack this with a change of attitude. Poke some fun at the beast!!! I like what you are saying about looking back over the last year. I have been hugely frustrated that I can't just stop this. But if I could I would not be here, would I?? I have had some great periods of success but when I have slipped I have been worse than I was. The best thing that I have learned in the last year is that I do prefer being AF . . . . I just have to remember that when those little voices start tempting me!!

Mad Mummy 2 nights is still 2 nights!! Progress one step at a time!!! We still have 29 days left in Rocktober!!! Rock on!!!

Eastender - you are right about the coming and going. My youngest is just realizing that attention and being an only child may not be so bad. We are having 20 of her buddies over for chili tonight!! I am trying not to crowd her space to much!!

So sorry I have been away a bit.....much much happening here in the new job category and also dealing with some stuff with my folks (eldercare stuff)

Back on the boards and thrilled to see some new names (faces) and am thinking we may have to push Seetpea to pull the Firecracker Express out from its time out for service and upgrading so we can take another ride! Any chance someone is willing to pass along a few bucks for fuel. (Costs seem to have gone through the roof of late) And I'm still itching to toot the horn!

So Sweetpea, when you have time, do book a route my way. After all, you have been our best engineer of date. And check to ensure Al is not aboard lurking to make mischief. Although I must admit we had a great time throwing him overboard last time out!

Great to see everyone back on the Sweetpea express and I agree we are all in a much better place than we were this time last year. So lets just keep chugging along, not perfect but we are getting there.

Have had a hectic family week-end so did not get near the computer. Trying to finish painting my daughters bedroom. She is 16 today so we are doing the family thing this evening and then she is having a big party at the end of the month!!! First boyfriend on the scene so it is the start of another era. I bought her a book on How not to Murder your Mother. The title just caught my eye!! I'm sure there is one out there entitled How not to murder your teenage daughters!!

Rustop.... you made me laugh :H did you really buy a book on how to murder your mother?

well me and my bro went round sister house she had a opp on her foot so cant get about but does not stop her from attacking. It funny we got talking about our childhood for once. i think what started it was me saying to my sis did you watch the jamie's ministry of food program. we got on the subject of my mums cooking, was not very good. my sis said how embarrass she felt when her friend was round how house and my mum give us a boil egg for a friday night dinner. my bro made me laugh and said he use to look forward to a boil egg dinner instant of the way my mum cooked her meat in just water no flavour at all. it was very very plain cooking. i can remember as a kid coming home from gymastics late in the evening and coud not bear to eat the dinner use to throw mine down the toilet. Toilet never got blocked though. Thank God. Got on to the subject of my dad well what can i say he was not normal and we never had that normal up bringing. Anyway could not stop laughting on the way home with my bro about the boil eggs.

Right im of to work not got much on today, going to applie for another job, just hope i get it.

Teardrop - SO much fun to reminisce and laugh about our childhoods. I know NOONE who had a ''normal'' upbringing. How boring we would be!!
