    Newbies in Need - Sun.

    checking in

Not AF yesterday, but was not really planning, moderated VERY well, and felt so proud that I drove there, had 6 beers over the course of 4 hours and drove home, remembered EVERYTHING, and HAD FUN!!! YEAH, I am going for Mon-Thurs at least AF this week, probably will have a couple beers for my horse back riding.......................... (we usually do that)

So anyway, sorry to hear you few are starting over, but just do what you have planned for today, DON'T BEAT YOURSELVES UP (yeah, easier said than done), I know that from first hand experience!!

Love you all, hang in there and have a WONDERFUL
    Sunday!!:h :l

      Newbies in Need - Sun.

      Hey all,

I hit more temptation yesterday afternoon than I expected (I guess I don't have as much experience with weekend afternoons as I do with evenings). Went for a long bike ride, despite the glowering sky, and sure enough it rained on me on the way home. That's OK. Another ride today, clear and sunny but chilly and breezy. The oaks still have a few weeks worth of green in them, but the maples are spectacular! Damn, it's nice to be sober and outdoors this time of year....

Congrats Mary, well done. Cindi, what happened? You don't have to spill the sordid details to us, but do figure it out for yourself. "Those who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it." As cowgal says, don't beat yourself up, and keep your focus on the future, but do try to gain some understanding from the incident. Lap, welcome. You can quit drinking, and this site can help. Read around, download the book and read that, maybe post your story and your plan for changing. For me, kudzu + L-glutamine has helped prevent physical cravings, but I had to deal with constant beer thoughts (the "mind-loop") for the first few days, before things got easier.

      peace,
      lilnev
Q: How do I become the person I want to be?
      A: Practice, of course.
