We are going over to a friends house today to toast their new house. My husband wants to bring a bottle of champagne. I went out and bought a bottle of sparkling cider for myself and another person that will be there that doesn't drink. I want to make sure that I am prepared for all possible scenarios. The more I don't drink, the more I don't want to drink. Hurrah!

Holloween party last night and not ONE drop!
Went to a great party last night and had a great time SOBER. Everyone around me was drinking and I was actually not even tempted. A couple of people asked me why I wasn't drinking and I said that I was on a diet (which is true) and didn't want to waste my calories on wine. I came home, got a great night sleep, woke up and felt great. My husband was hungover (he doesn't drink a lot anyway). I had to snicker because the shoe was finally on the other foot! I am on day 4 AL and know in my head and heart I can do this. I am thankful for this forum because I need people to communicate with that feel the same way I do.

Holloween party last night and not ONE drop!
Great job Gabby! Isn't it wonderful waking up feeling good after a fun night out? Continue to take one event and one day at a time. Day 4 was always a hurdle for me. Good for you in getting over the hump with flying colors. Goes to show, you can do it!September 23, 2011

Holloween party last night and not ONE drop!
Gabby: I did the same thing last night. I was able to carry on sensible conversations, win second place in the pumpkin carving contest & drive home. It feels good to know I can do that. Great job...you should feel proud of yourself. MaryWisdom, Courage, Strength
