:new: I'm in the process of reading the book and waiting for what I ordered. Cautiously, optimistic. Any feedback is welcome. More than anything, I hope rid myself of this "bad relationship" with alcohol.

Hi imcj799!!!

I have chosen different methods to stay clean and sober and so although I don't do the MWO program or AA and the 12 steps or any other program for that matter I still need help from time to time myself in combating my addiction to alcohol. I get that a lot through forums like this where I can communicate with other like minded people (well some anyway!!!!) who are willing to listen and give opinions from their own experiences. I stopped drinking on 2nd June 2007 and I had to abstain totally because I am an alcoholic and I cannot moderate my drinking. Tried it plenty of times over the last 10 years but it just doesn't work for me.

Welcome to the forum anyway and I'm sure you will benefit from reading posts from everyone here. Keep posting and get involved as much as you need to in order to 'fix' your relationship; you may find though like me you have to get a divorce!!!!

hi imcj! Welcome to you, I agree w/ hippie in now I go to AA sometimes, take what I want and leave the rest behind, come here (WAAAYY too much probably) and don't really take medications, tried topa, but had side effects I didn't like (like dyslexia, speaking wrong, typing wrong etc) Maybe those methods will work for you though, this program no matter how you use it does help TREMENDOUSLY!! Keep posting, reading and you can private message someone you relate to and ask for help or advice (Me included?)
