    I made an appointment

I called my nurse practicioner who I see for my general health type stuff. I couldn't get an appointment till 11/9, but at least I made the call and I told them why I was calling.

I'm just to the point where I need to be completely honest about my driniking. I have to admit, I have some trepidation about what the solution could be. I.E. go to AA, see a counselor, whatever else she may suggest. I'd love to know that she will be open to the MWO solution and support it.

Anyone else over the years gone to their annual check ups and filled out the health questionnaire stating they drink less than they do? I know I have. I just don't want to lie to myself or anyone else anymore.

You might be suprised by the reception you get. When I went to my doctor last week, and bared my soul, she sat there listening quietly and sympathetically responding. Then she shared that she was in recovery for 20 years. She was willing to support MWO since I was enthusiastic about it, but she said to keep an open mind about a group approach or about using another med other than topomax. Good luck!!

I also came clean with my doctor. I wanted to take Topamax, but really didn't feel comfortable buying from India. She was very supportive and was also pretty informed on using TOPA for drinking. I know it was a risk (insurance and all), but I truly wanted to do something about this and have her as one of my support team.

      Good luck!

Face your deficiencies and acknowledge them, but do not let them master you. Let them teach you patience, sweetness, insight.
