    Hi new from London :)

    Hi all,

I'm in a real bad way at the moment.
I'm constantly drinking and I need to stop,
I drink all day every day and it's gotten bad
Right now I am very agitated that I haven't got any alcohol in the house.
It's really starting to effect my life. Obviously as it would.
It's 7am for me and I can't help but think about getting a drink from the local shops, but the situation I'm in right now is (awkward).
I don't know what to do.

    Thanks for reading,
I knew who I was once apon a time

    Hi new from London

I’m new here today also. And I was in a similar situation as you yesterday morning. But I did not drink.

Today I am feeling confident that I can get a few alcohol free days behind me and get my head clear. If you don’t drink today, you’ll feel better by this afternoon and more confident and happier tomorrow.

Try not to drink today. I know I am not going to.

      Hi new from London

Hi Katie and welcome! You have found the best place to help you through this. I know you want a drink right now. Just stop for a moment and try to concentrate on finding some peace. Your siggy says "I knew who I was once upon a time". Get some coffee (anyway you like it!) and take a walk. Enjoy the silence, think about how life would be without these awful hangovers. Try to find that girl you knew once apon a time.

Yikes, I have been where you are Katie. As you know, it is a soul destroying way to live your life. You have to make some big changes as I suspect you already know. You are going to have to stop drinking and face whatever it is that you are trying to avoid......emptiness, insecurity etc etc.

Stay close to the boards and be good to yourself.
        I wish you luck. x

          :h

          Katie

Hang on in there and try to focus on the things you used to enjoy when a drink was a pleasure and not the demon that is trying to destroy you.

You haven't mentioned whether you have read all the information on the supplements, My Way Book and CD's. If you haven't it well worth it. I cried my way through the My Way Out book as I could seee so much of myself in it and could relate to it

There is light at the end of the tunnel

Hi Katie and welcome to MWO.

Put simply, this is a wonderful global community who have all experienced problems around alcohol, otherwise we wouldn't be here. You are not alone. You are among people who understand, who care and importantly, who can help you. Stay with us.

I know you are living somewhere near me and you are in trouble and that bothers me. I look out my window and we share the same beautiful blue sky, the same trees throwing their leaves everywhere-Katie it is so beautiful here today and you are ill, lost and unhappy through alcohol. Please, please don't drink today. Drink lots of water, take vitamin b and c complex if you can, go for a walk, clear your head, rest as much as you can. If you feel like a drink, come back here and post instead.

Thinking of you and really wanting you to start fighting this, for your own sake. If you have bad physical reactions to withdrawal, you will need to get medical advice, talk to others here about that, as I did not take any medication, only vitamins and a healthy diet.

Keep coming back to MWO, keep talking to us-there is always someone here and you will not find a better bunch of people to support you through this! I drank for 35 years and am now on day 72 without alcohol. If I can do it, you can do it!

            take care
