I heard this story the other day and thought someone might like it.
A man was walking along a beach, he kept stopping and throwing something into the sea a second man walked up to him and asked what he was doing?
He replied " as I walk along this beach I see all of these starfish that have been left by the tide, they cannot breath without water so as I walk I toss them back into the sea".
"Thats stupid" shouts the other" there are thousands of starfish on the beach and this is only one of thousands of beaches. You could not possibly make a difference"
The man shrugged his soldiers bent down and picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea " Made a difference to that one" he said and walked away smiling.
My thoughts are: Am I a starfish washed up on a beach? Am I a cynic tired of trying? or am I going to try and make a difference?
I choose to make a difference!
