opinions on non-alcohol drinks
I don?t think NA Beer is a problem now. I did blame it for me drinking after quitting several times. I would drink NA beer around people who were drinking and I was happy and they didn?t think anything of it. The problem came when I ran out of NA beer and there was plenty of regular beer left. I would then end up drinking and blaming it on the NA beer. I have come to realize since the problem was not with the NA beer, it was with me. I had not really quit drinking or I would not have taken the regular beer when the other was gone. I now keep NA beer in the house and I like to drink it with some meals. I agree the alcohol content is almost non existent so the prospect of getting high is not there. For me, the truth of the matter was that I had to quit in my soul, in order to not drink alcohol anymore. I mean really quit at a life or death type of level. When I finally realized if I didn?t quit I was going to die, I quit without exception. Nothing is more important to me than being sober?nothing. If I drink I will screw up all the things which are important to me. These same important things; I must be willing to lose, if necessary, to stay sober. I see you are in a very difficult situation, and your desire to look after your dad and niece is good. But if you stay in the situation and end up dead, who gains anything? I wish you all good things, and God Bless
