    Hi All:

I just found this site today and I am really hoping it helps. I plan to get the book tomorrow. One thing that concerns me is that I travel for work and it makes it so difficult to get help of any kind. Does anyone have any suggestions on getting help when one is a road warrior?

For instance: I have been reading up on Prometa and the treatment describes three consecutive days of several hour sessions. I can certainly make one appointment but I can't guarantee I will be in Phoenix the following days. Every time I go for help I hit road blocks because I can't commit to the time criteria - very frustrating. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

It must be very frustrating being on the road all the time and not being able to get the help that is required BUT with MWO you can get 24/7 support on line. Do the hotes/motels that you stop at have INTERNET access because you can always go on line no matter where you are. The support and advice is fantastic. Also read Roberta Jewell's book, My Way Out, get yourself a CD player and order the hypno Cd's and take all the suggested vitamin supplements, l-glutamine and Kudzu. All these things helped me go AF for 30 days before Christmas and I am now starting another AF stint.

Best of luck just remember we are all here for one another

      Thanks so Much

      Hi Sweetpea:

Thanks so much for replying...I was actually scared no one would. I have already ordered the book and actually have many of the supplements Roberta recommends.(though I will likely order from the Health store as well) Are you on Campral or Prometa or any of the other alcohol craving reduction drugs? I am going to contact an alcohol treatment clinic tomorrow and see what they can do for me.

And, to answer your question - yes - I always have internet access when I travel because my job requires it. I just discovered this site and I can't tear myself away. It is so amazing to know that one is not alone in this struggle and that so many people echo the same emotions and experiences related to alcohol. Wow! Well 1 day AF and ready to call it a day.

        Hi Kittyranch and :welcome:

This programme is very much about doing it your way and there is a wealth of support here on line. Ideal if you are travelling. You can take the vitamins with you, listen to the cd's at night and log in whenever you feel like it. Some people are taking the topamax, others myself included just the vitamins recommended by this site. Read the book, the boards etc. and join in.

I think you will find that once you have been prescribed for a drug most pracs will refill the scrip. This has been my experience from OZ to the US and UK, and I've never had customs problems. Unfortunately the US is so much more expensive.

            Hi KR :welcome: to MWO,

You might find that after finding MWO you might not need any treatment, just the supps and cd's, and if you have internet access in your hotels you can come on here ........

            Keep us informed, BB xx
