Hi Bhog - I have to have that talk with my husband tonight. Last night was not a pretty night for me and he still kissed me before he left this morning. I don't know how he can still love me sometimes. Anyway, I emailed him at work and said I had found some hope in a new program and wanted to talk to him tonight after our daughter goes to bed. I'll be asking for that forgiveness and support too. I hope he can be there for me - yet again.

Glad your wife was and that you're doing well. Tonight will be ok for me - I can normally do one night without drinking - it's tomorrow that will be hard.

YEAH....BHO guy! And what an awesome wife! Roses are due there! I'm on Day 10 and it IS do-able. Just wait till after Day 5 and you will feel soooooooo much better. And, we will all continue to support your efforts.

You have been here such a very short time, but you have touched all of us! What a terrific guy you are! And remember...Bald is Sexy!!!

Today is day 3!!! Hooray for you! You have embraced sobriety, no delay, no excuses, you are just doing it!!! Yay! for you.

I know that being AF for a few days will really help with an easier recovery from your surgery on monday. You will have a ton of friends her, praying and sending you and your beautiful family tons of love and support!

Yes, I did make it through Friday; although it did have some triggers in it. First, we only work 1/2 day Friday and my past behaviour has been to go to a fav bar and have lunch and a "few" beers. Did not do that, foud a new Thai restuarant instead. Went over to some friends house Friday night, where normally I would have had some wine, but passed on the wine, said I needed to stay clean becasue of upcoming surgery and I did not want any AL in my system. One of my very well meaning friends, a nurse, said, hey it is more than 24 hours away, you will be fine, I replied, I would just feel better if I did not drink, thanks anyway. The moment passed, and I was able to stay dry all night. On the way over there, the wife did ask if she it would bother her if she had wine, I said I did not think it would bother me, so she did. I wil admit I was somewhat jealous watching her enjoy her wine; but, and this is very important, she can moderate herself very well, and she is not the one who has a drinking problem. So I got over it. Came home, got on chat here for a while and went to bed dry.
Saturday is normally a kick back and relax day for me, I usually start with a Bloody Mary or two. So far today, no Bloody Marys. I am contimplating a "virgin" mary (no AL) but am just drinking coffee right now. So on it goes.
I was thinking about the subscriber chat room after listening last night, anybody have any experience they would like to PM me with?

I have been watching your thread with much admiration and anticipation. I am so glad you made it through Friday! I don't know if I would be able to have a "virgin" anything that early in my AF days.. something to ponder. It just would remind me of my old friend. Triggers come from the damndest places..

Thanks to all of your for your support. I am beginning to understand why I was unable to control this on my own before. Wife always said she would support my changing, but she has never been here and does not know how this feels.

Hey,
I came by this bald head very honestly.. first they turned gray, and each had a name; daughter, son,son, daughter, son, son, then since they could not turn any grayer, they jumped out.
