    Even Lurking Here HELPS !

To All My Kindred Souls -

Your postings are immeasurably valuable to me ... thank you thank you thank youuuuu. Haven't been posting much lately cuz of the funk I've allowed in me peabrain. I am physically and emotionally drained right now and feel I have not much to contribute. I know that sounds like a cop-out (and selfish) because so many of you have PM'd me and I care about EACH of you.

Just please know. I feel connected to you in such a safe way. I tear up just being able to reach out to others who understand without judgment. This site ... God bless RJ and crew ... is certainly turning into a lifeline for me. I am so grateful.

God Bless each One of You.
    Love,
    - Masq

Masq, I am happy that you continue to keep logging on and reading people's stories and what they are going through. It really is a lifeline. I wish you the best and start talking anytime.

Masq, so glad that you are still here. I have had a bad time with a family member. Sister, who has never worked, HATES anyone who even has one glass of wine with dinner, except for her perfect husband. She has imposed so much quilt on me. She hasn't spoken to me in over a week, we used to talk 2x a day. She called one night when I had had a glass of wine with my closest friend and her 86 year old mother. She was pissed.

I work 60 hours a week, while trying to settle my mom's estate. It's been two years, and tonight I finally said enough is enough. Granted, i went on a bit of a bender when I sold my mom's condo (had been her caretaker for more than 10 years, while my sister was vacationing at my mom's place at the beach) and after selling her place, felt that there was nothing in my life to do.

I refuse to feel guilty, I refuse to respond to her condensending questions of "how are you?", I refuse to get upset when she hangs up on me, if she thinks I've had a drink.

Today I read posts from people/friends responding to one of my posts, telling me I was strong and not to let anyone take that away from me. I can not tell you what that meant to me.

God bless you, Masq. Thank you for being part of this family and friends!

Hey Suki, As I'm sure you know but maybe need to be reminded. You can pick your friends but you can't pick your relatives. If it just so happens that your relatives are you friends then you are lucky indeed. Maybe you should be glad she hasn't spoken to you in a week. She is not bringing any positive energy into your life.
Masquerade. Even though we don't know each other very well, I'm still kind of new here, I'm glad you "checked in". We are here to listen

You are in the right place

                      :goodjob: Masquerade

You are certainly in the right place to get loads of support and love from folk that know what a dark place you have been in. Unconditional support which is what we all need right now.

Take time to dust yourself down and find the person you want to be. It is OK if you are not up to posting much at the moment but keep reading and taking strength from us all because we are all here for you. In time you will become more active LOL

Hi Masquerade - I too am a lurker. Thanks for dropping in and sharing.

Suki - Hang in there. Remember, we have no control over many situations or people but we do have control over how we react. The next time your sister pushes your buttons, think "Whatever" place it on your shoulder and flick it off. Let time help you get back to where you both once were. It sounds as if you were close.
