Fantastic!! More people to keep us all going! Welcome to all those who have posted since I last did. It is getting closer to the end of January all the time. Just take it one day, one hour or even one minute at a time and we'll get there.

Welcome to Miss October, Bettelove, Wonder World, Paula, 2WixLit, Jane Jane and Sweetpea. (I am visualising you all walking across the stage in your finery, to great applause from the audience! This is a 'show' after all!)

Stayed off all the sloe gin and port today without a problem but was given a bottle of wine as a thank you for helping someone with their horses the other day..... Damn, why couldn't it have been chocolates, smellies, anything else!! Still, it's white and warm and I will lock it away in a difficult place in the garage.

Just checking in. Day 3 for me today. NOT GOING TO DRINK TODAY YEAAAAAAAA. I had a few cravings today but not bad - I do know however that the next couple of days are probably going to get worse on the cravings but I am NOT giving in - nope, nope, nope not going to do it. Didn't sleep too well last night lots of tossing and turning, hoping that gets better soon.

Oh and here is a reason NOT to drink. I was able to go and pick up my son and his friends from the movies yesterday and I was sober and didn't have to make any excuses for why I couldn't do it or beg my hubby to please,please do it for me. Now that felt DAMN good :happy:

Keep up the good work everyone - this is what is going to help me each day till the end of the month

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing - are we all still here?? Laughing at Wonderworld ranting at Al!! That's powerful stuff. I'd be scared!

Have found a home for the bottle of white wine that has been whispering to me from its hiding place in the garage - got a holiday cottage that I run and I like to leave them a tray with tea, coffee, sugar, milke etc. Usually do a home made cake or scones too. These lucky guests will have a bottle of wine as well!! Sorted! Doing the ironing (10 beds worth!!!) for the cottage kept me busy last night.

Though there is other Al stuff in the house it is only the wine that has such a hold over me.

Only 9 days to go....... hang on in there!!
