"looking at yourself standing beside the hammock, looking at yourself laying in the hammock .... " Now I know I'm putting myself out here - as this may prove that I've gone just a little NUTS!!!! Someone has to have heard this??? :k maybe I'd better cut back on the smokes :sofa:

I have not listened that far. But I will be going a little deeper today. I am looking forward to meeting these 3 people, even if I do already know them. Stay tuned.

          Hi Croft
I haven't been here in a month, so I'm new to your posts. This one had me rolling! The cd's do work - please stick with them! My very pleasant escalator is in Nordstrom’s and I have lots of shopping bags slung over my shoulder and I'm passing the pianist who is playing very pleasant music. My stairs aren't as nice as yours - I imagine I'm outside hiking. If you don't mind, I may use the mansion from time to time.

I had a problem for a while falling asleep on the elevator, but worked though it. And my 3 selves don't freak me out. Maybe it’s because I’m self-employed and live alone so my other selves keep me company… !

          Thanks for sharing your experience!

                Hi Croft

I think others have felt silly too. We have some funny threads i which people talk about that.

I think this CD system is supposed to be good because of the four step approach, including reinforcement overnight with the subliminal tracks. I had one session with a hypnotherapist and I can't remember how much it cost me but it was way over $100 for an hour session. So to me the price seemed reasonable for four Cds. I think you might find after doing them that one or two of them are particularly helpful. They involve visualization, helping you to see yourself behaving moderately. For me there is something powerful about that. Also, there is a focus on letting go of negative emotions. And another thing they offer is deep relaxation. I think all these things are not BS and must be good for someone who wants to quit drinking. But of course they are not miracle workers.

I wouldn't advise someone who is broke to buy these CDs but for someone of average to wealthy means, in my opninion it's really worthwhile to try a system that goes with this particular website and nutritional approach.

So stick it out with them for a while.

I am sorry you have been hurt hon...but please don't knock this site or any product sold here. I assure you when I can afford it I will be ordering everything!!!!!!! Anyone that overcome AL, write a book, put it all together, start a board and make such an impact on many peoples lives.....over 5000 members, evidently is definately on to something.

                  QUOTE]

I hope critical thinking is allowed here at MWO because I would like to question whether MWO really has 5000 members.

Case in point, I tried to leave the other day, not because I had anything against MWO, but I already have a home group and decided after all I don't have time for a secondary group.

When I went to unsubscribe or unregister I found there is no way to do this really.

So yes, 5000 people may have indeed registered with MWO at one time, but when they leave they are not taken off the role call. One can not unregister or unsubscribe in a such a way that would subtract from the total count really.

MM could do the same thing, count everyone that has ever been in their group, but they don't - when someone unsubscribes they are no longer counted in the total.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to unsubscribe or unregister from MWO and therefore no longer be counted as members in the total count or not?

Not that it really matters to me if y'all count me after I leave or not, I would just like to figure out a way to unsubscribe or unregister so I can leave this group and concentrate on the other group that I belonged to before coming here.

I really can't do 2 groups anymore. Again, I have nothing against MWO but I want to leave now. Is there a way to unregister or unsubscribe?

Maybe you were hypnotized into buying the CD's in the first place, Croft. Did you ever think about that?

LOL, I am just kidding, of course. I was going to have an abs day today but hubby just came home with a pony keg for the Superbowl.

What to do? What to do?

Dear Rosalind - why are you needing to unsubscribe? Just don't log on!! What difference does it make how many members there are?? If you are drinking to the satisfaction of your personal goals - and this helped you - why in the world would it matter? If you are not satisfied with your results the first thing you will learn in group therapy is that this is a journey - not a magic potion. I wish you loads of blessings - and success each day in the journey of life!

I'm sure the 5000 members are from the beginning of this sites inception. I'm sure not all 5000 are currently active, and thank goodness for that! It would be hard to "talk" to all of them or keep up with anyone......

Rosalind, just don't post anymore. You have no obligation to.

Hypnosis on a personal basis is very expensive and you don't go just once. My hubby just did hypnosis for weight loss and it was costly.
I have the CD's and have not been using them consistently, which is the way to get the most out of them.

Croft, this was a great thread........gave me a chuckle.

If I don't log on, I can still read the messages. Once I even had my husband change my password and I could still read all the messages. ( I got a new password because someone had a really rude answer for someone and I wanted them to have a nice one)

This means of course that anyone out there can read my post whether they have ever subscribed on registered with MWO or not.

All the more reason not to participate, no privacy here whatsoever.

I won't be posting or logging on or even reading. I am too busy.

The CD's worked pretty well for me, although I had to work a bit to get past the hypnotist's pronunciation of some words--hummock for hammock for example.

Falling asleep was also a problem, and I was advised to do them half sitting up in a comfy chair or my bed, which worked much better.

Rosalind, if you would like your name to be taken off the roster, just send a PM to RJ. If it is your wish, she will take you off the member list. If you're reading, that is.

That is OK, Kathy, I will just have my husband change the password so I don't know what it is, (Again!)

Sorry y'all, I am just nutty. It is not you, it's me!

Ros... maybe you could just lay your head by the computer and get posts subliminally.:H Really, I do not mean that in a snaky way. I'm just woried about myself and when that happens I engage in humor which is sometimes inappropriate. Like laughing in church when you are little.
