    Being Hypnotized

    humor is our new drug

I was giggling to the point my nose sprayed all over my keyboard!!! You make me LOL. Humor is going to be my drug of choice from here out. I've been much to serious over the past few years! Today I was working out on my treadmill and thought of RJ saying she would dance - so I cranked up the oldies and acted like a dancing fool! I was grinning and singing - and I thought how great it feels to be a sober fool!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's awesome!

Rosalind you are to funny. Having your husband create the password is like having him hide the booze - you can always find a way in ............ so.............. why don't you just stay and hang out with us crazy fools! greeneyes and croft will be our entertainment team. You can be the 3rd floating person in the Hypno CD - we've all been wondering who that is anyway. So to your alter ego in the clouds :welcome: and to the you hanging on the hammock (hammuck as the guy says) :welcome: - and to the you standing beside the "hammuck" - well that one can use the password that your hubbie is creating. :ranger

    Hope you stick around!

yes and the very nice es-cu-lator was amazingly in the mansion too.. and I added a chandelier to the elevator so it would match the decor of the mansion

I walked into Boston yesterday, about a 3 mile walk. Haven't had that much exercise in a few years. Went to Borders (book store in downtown, is in what used used to be an old bank building with VERY high ceilings). Went to the UP es-cu-la-tor. Broken, not working. Walked up, hands on the black plastic railings, kept watching the teeth between the steps, NOT MOVING.

Finally arrived at the top. Out of breath, sweating. Couldn't decide to look for a hummock or call 911. Kept thinking of Croft's original post and started laughing.

This has been one of my favorite threads!! But I feel like I'm SO missing out....I'm still falling asleep in the elevator!! I'll never get to the mansion. I'll never get to the ham hock! I'm doomed. There are no three me's for me!! :upset:
It's personal, myself and I, we've got some straightening out to do. And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket but I've got to get a move on with my life.
It's time to be a big girl now....

                        holistic snob??

I hate to say it but this funny thread is not a first. On the holistic section, veterans such as Determinator have expressed quite humorous attempts with the hypno Cds. I have to say, the most discussion I have ever seen has taken place there on the holistic section so it is really nice to see so many newcomers experimenting with the Cds or even to see any indepth discussion of hypnotherapy on a general discussion thread. But you should search for the others as they are entertaining.

As for me and my experience in that crazy 'esculator' and 'hummock'?

My elevator has red velvet carpeting, wood panelling all around the sides and mirrors on the ceilings. The gates are reminiscent of the old ones from film noir movies. They screech open at the bottom level, finally, thankfully, because I am TIRED of all that waiting. I find the pendulum hardest to visualize, ANYTHING hard to visualize. As a left-hander, I find that darned pendulum is going the wrong direction. When I arrive at the utopian island and have three versions of myself-- the one that floats up into the clouds, finally, thankfully-- is always the thinnest by a margin of 10 pounds.

To be honest, I feel lucky I am not that particular or critical so the pronunciation issues that seem to deter others don't even bother me. But I find relaxation exercises challenging nonetheless...

I have read the other threads - they are all funny. It's great to read what others are visualizing... I'm not too hung up on the pronunciation either.

Croft you have a way with words, I agree! My hypno CD's went in the garbage awhile back...I guess they're not for everyone : )

Too funny! Please continue posting. As I go through my own developmental process, it is nice to know that others can laugh at the absurdity of our struggles and life as we know it. We may be struggling with our alcohol issues, but at least we are delightfully honest about it all.

Thanks all for the CD tidbits

I bought the whole kit and caboodle. I figure even if it is $100 bucks for the cd's, that transitions into 10 nights with an average cost of a $10.00 bottle of wine! And it's worth the loss in calories of the wine to buy the CD's instead! This is on top of all the vitamins and the Topimax, but heck if I loose weight also, man, will I love me!
As far as the CD's working, I think they will if I can figure them out!!! I had difficulty trying to figure out how often I'm suppose to go down the very pleasant stairs, and how many pleasant stairs can I choose from. Gone with the Wind staircase was my choice, but then being the clumsy one, I was thankful that he was having me walk slow because it would be pretty tacky to walk down those stairs holding on to the handles. I would have to walk down the middle. My gown was just way too big for my arms to reach the rails anyway.
Elevator? Mine is a pale yellow with white trim and has Monet paintings to look at while I am in there, but I think I'm going to go to Greece tonight too. Thank you to who gave that idea!!! I would like to say that 'down' to me always represented hell, so it is hard for me to keep going down! I think that is where the Greece idea will help me also so I won't be so apprehensive about where I'm going and all that running water does end up in the ocean. And the 3 people? Yes, I don't need the split personality either, can't that be oh, I don't know, George Clooney lying in the hammock that I'm looking at?
So, 2 days of listening to the same thing, because not only was a apprehensive of being hypnotized, but I was disrupted by my son (who has no idea why mommy is resting before dinner), I would like to say that last night I came out of my room after listening to the stairs all the way to the beach and clouds and I came out and grabbed a cup for my cafe mocha rather than the wine.
Don't get me wrong, I had the wine later, but only 1/2 of what I normally intake. I'm sure I have to stop drinking for this to work, but I also have to stop feeling like I'm going to jump out of my skin. So today I took the 'Calm Forte' and I hope that that will work. Anyone ever take that?
