Well today I burnt my neck on the curling iron and I am trying to convince folks that I have a hickey.

Too funny..... Yes, I remember the curling iron excuse very well. Hickeys were some form of a right of passage. It was proof that you had a boyfriend or that you hooked up with someone over the weekend.

Hickey's were the 'craze' back in the day. Everyone knew you were going 'steady' with someone if you had one. I had one once and HOLY SHIT! When my mom saw it (we were on a ferry boat at the time) she almost threw me over board. I was 11 - so no wonder.

The other night, my hubby and I were making woopy, and I said something about him acting like he was 17 again...:blush: and he started strutting around the bedroom like he was a rooster. :alf: He was the MAN! :goodjob:

And then I got to thinking.


My baby girl is 17! And my "compliment" to my husband would mean that when he was 17... he was trying to serve it up, with a little sweet & innocent girl, like my baby? OMG.
