Im really curious how some of you have overcome your denial, and just said NO. Im feeling sad and bummed out today, but when I feel good again, I easily forget i shouldnt drink. I really respect those of you who are "doing it."

Denial
How do you overcome your denial? My denial is so strong, I have the habit of convincing myself that Im "not" that bad. But deep down I know I am that bad. I forget so easy when I havent had a drink in a few days, and I feel good and in control. Then next thing ya know, its time for a glass of wine, then another...Well you know.

I think I say this too much, but have you tried writing down anything? For example, things you hate about drinking too much, or ways your life is better without drinking. It helped me to see it in writing, even more when I gave it to my husband. My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.
