    What the gray?

I have made it sober since Sunday...this is the longest I've gone AF since who knows when!! Last night I was getting ready for bed (had a splittin' headache, is this normal?) and then I looked in the mirror.
    HORROR!!!
    My first GRAY!!!
I believe it was stressed induced, but I couldn't believe it! I know AL is trying, but I am strong! Though I didn't realize how stressful this is to my body. I know this may seem slight, but to me...my first GRAY!
    DAMN YOU AL!!!

      What the gray?

Oh honey. I've got grays on top of grays on top of grays.
I do have a theory on grays. I think it's totally genetic. this is because I am the youngest of five, and I saw each one of my siblings start getting lots o' grays at around the same age, 40ish. We all have dark hair, so it shows up like mad.
We get this from our dad. Our mom didn't start getting really gray until in her 60s.
      sign me,
still plucking, still too cheap to color, but getting close
:boxer: Get the hell out of my house, Al, you worthless bastard!!

        What the gray?

I don't even remember getting my first gray, a few years ago I guess. My hair color is light, and I get the gray covered by highlights once or twice per year. I think in this withdrawal process, we often land on certain things, and then just pass them by. A few days from now that gray hair may be forgotten.
My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

When I have to fill out somethig that asks for hair color, I put formerly chestnut brown. Oddly, women say to me they wish their hair looked like mine so they would not have to dye it. (We are talking mostly a lovely shimmering white) And I say huh? I'm just lazy. I get all happy when I see a grey on hubby head.

Oh green eyes, I hope I get that beautiful white...maybe, but I don't think it is in my jeans...
            thanks for the gray support,
I just posted because I couldn't believe the internal power of AL
I was prepared for detox symptoms, but I hadn't read gray hair in ANY explanation!
I'll pluck and suck it up

For every one you pluck, two grow back. Just kidding. Spend your time on something else. Some say B vitamins restore hair color (Addelle Davis, health guru who died of cancer, I believe - don't know what color her hair was at that time) Didn't work for me. See, this is why i don't get taken seriously here. Why can't I just shut up. But what I said is true.
