Hi I was wondering if anyone has heard of the drug Memantine ( also known as Namenda) I have agreed to participate in this study where they give me the drug or placibo for a week then put me in the hospital for the night and hook me up to monitors and bring me drinks. To think I was just looking for a part time job! I really hope this works but I'm nervous about it! Thanks, MollyTags: None

nope
I haven't heard of that drug, but I run clinical trials for a living, it will be interesting to see how well it works, I hope you get the real thing and not the placebo.............maybe the drinks will taste badly or something!?

Clinical trials
Thanks for sharing, Molly, and please keep us posted.
For those who are interested you'll find a comprehensive list of over 300 alcoholism clinical trials here. Each is designated as completed or under recruitment. Info is provided by the US National Institutes of Health.
Interesting stuff.

Where to find the outcomes?
RJ,
I was going through those and the ones marked "completed" and am not seeing where the outcomes are or any links?
Have you worked your way through that?
Thanks in Advance,

Cindi, I noticed this too. The good stuff only appears on the current ones. Hmmmmmm, oh well, those are pretty interesting too. I wish some of them were around Pittsburgh.Noelle sez "Do want you like, like what you do. Life is Good."
