    yes i really had a long day just thinking about that and am happy really happy, thanks livin and RN i love having such challenges i and seeing things at both angles. am really learning alot here thanks to you all.

      And Maasai, we are learning from you as well. None of us have all the answers! But together, we can find some of them, and perhaps bring new light to each other and new ways to deal with our shared problem!

        HELLLOOOOOOO!!!??

        Hi all, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth (or maybe I have!?!) I have just been sooooooooooo busy at work (when I normally am bored beyond all belief!!!!) and haven't had time to really write a decent post!! I am so happy to be able to sit and read and catch up, boy what I have missed!!! What a beautiful post-it Liv! I am w/ you all, as I know FIRST HAND that the grass is NEVER greener on the other side!!:no:

        Maasai, my heart goes out to you, we are all so happy to have you here, you are such an ispiration and I hope you get over the little hurdle, anxiety and worry about tomorrow, or the next hour or minute can drive me crazy! I will be thinking of you and you will be in my prayers! :l

        Laura, how loving and unselfish of your guy!!!(wish I had someone like that!) He truly loves you to help in that way, good luck w/ going and staying(I always find that staying is the harder of the two!) AF!!

        BHOG, RN.......................you guys DO have some big shoes to fill!!!

        Have a wonderful trip to FL Liv, I am off to Las Vegas and Utah in a few days too, must be vacation time(It is spring break for our kids, that is the reason we are going away!)

              Stick em for March 26th

              As you probably know, Liv is on vacation and has asked me if I would post sticky notes "as part of her backup plan." Here's one for today, please let me know your thoughts. BHOG

              Today I will wake up and live my dreams!

              The first step in making a dream come true is to wake up.

              We all share a dream in this thread, to be AF through to the end of March (and beyond). The alarm clock is going off, it?s time to ?Wake Up!" Let?s wake up, break the chains that have held us back, and begin to live our shared dream!
              Today, I am waking up to a beautiful sunrise over the Wasatch mountians and will not let AL or Alice tell us me I can?t have my dream!
              Wake up, and enjoy today!

                im going to step on this band wagon even though its near the end of month. lol i have joined all the threads in being AF. its helping heaps.

                so i started AF on 1st march just like u all, and its my 26 day AF.

                sry i havent read all the post here, so it will take awhile to get to know u all.

                but good luck in staying sober for today.

                  And a very hearty :goodjob: on 26 days AF! See, you CAN do this! It does take work and determination, but it can be done.
                  I'm gald to hear that the various AF threads are helping you, I agree that this site has helped me reach this wonderful state of being!

                    Got it!

                    Hubbie is checking us out of hotel and prodding me - so off we go to the beach house!! I have my stick em note in my hand (printed off - word for word) and LOVE IT!! Now I know why we have to keep doing this! I am off on my first vacation sober and waking up to making my dream come true!! Thank you BHOG!! What a great day! Love you all and I'll be so excited to read all the post em notes when I get back but while I can't log on - this one I will hold tight!!!!!!!!! It's exactly what I need! Thank you Thank you

                      Thanks BHOG!! Gret start to the day!! off to another busy one, meetings and patients all day non stop..................beats the alternative though, so I've heard!

                          Mimi,
                          When I look back on it now, I thought I had everything under control while ALice was running my life..I now know this was a very WRONG view! I don't know how close I came to having it all ruined, as you say, but I am glad I now can remember my dreams and make them happen!

                              Speaking of nightmares---yesterday I drove to my son's track meet in another town. The state patrol had a traffic stop set up to check license/registration, etc. There would have been times in the past I would have panicked BIG TIME if you know what I mean! But I didn't have any beer to hide, gum to find, and I knew where all my "Shit" was!!!!
                              Whew!!! Another great reason to feel GRATEFUL!!

                                Mimi,
                                That has always been a BIG fear factor for me, in Utah you go straight to jail, your vehicle is impounded, etc. I lived in fear of being pulled over, or having someone hit me, or causing an accident. However, the fear was not as strong as the Beast! But, I made it through..only by the Grace of God I believe.
                                Now it's not a problem at all! Smile and wave for the camera!
