    Good start BHOG. Its funny, I have/had so many dreams never knowing if the reason some weren't realized was due to AL or just being busy with life. I guess I'm about to find out.

        Cobwebs & Cables!

        Thanks everyone for your nice comments for yesterday! Here's todays sticky!

        Stick em for March 27

        Don?t let cobwebs become cables!

        Habits are first cobwebs, then cables.

        Like the spider spinning a web, when at first he starts, it is very easy for anything, perhaps a stick carried on the breeze, to break the first few strands. Soon his work is over, and now it those thin strands have become a series of cables that can snare much larger and heavier prey.
        A drinking habit starts much the same way. That first drink becomes one more, then another, then one more for the road. So for today, let?s wipe out those cobwebs, let?s make a decision not to have the first one any more! And, if you don?t have the first one, you can?t have another!

          Long time no chat..

          I am just getting back from vacation and was happy to see you stepped up for Liv. LOVE this sticky for today.. "if you don't have the first one, you can't have another"! That is something we all need to remember. I defiantely remember the effects one drink had on me. I always thought that I could just have two, or that was my limit. It would have been nice. In fact, while trying to moderate I could actually have two - for a few days... but it would always lead to more eventually..

          So, just don't pick up the first one, then you can't have a another! Love it!

            Good job BHOG! You're doing great! You don't need any help at all. I'm really impressed. I won't have to jump in at this rate!

            I'm off to work, then tonight I'm packing for my girls weekend to Vegas! Looking forward to it and I'm not actually worried about temptation but I will NOT let my guard. I know he's there!
            So BHOG, you will be really on your own until Sunday!

                So glad to be HERE.
                I wish I had some words of wisdom like all of you but they just have not surfaced yet.
                I get so much out of everyones postings especially one I read the other day (which I have been searching for but cannot find) where the person said that once they stopped fighting to control their issues with AL but accepted it they were able to move on and start living life. For some reason that really hit home. Sometimes I over think things when really the answer is quite simple.

                    Laurav, I still go to another board sometimes (about something totally different) and remember all of us at one time or another thinking we killed a thread. I always thought it was ME! LOL Don't worry, you're cool.

                              Sticky Note for March 28

                              I'm Free!

                              March Madness is quickly coming to a close, and as usual it has had some upsets! But as I write this today, I am reminded that for the first time in probably my entire adult life, I am free! The Beast, AL and ALice not longer control my life!
                              I hope all of you are also more free than when this month began! Some of us have had our upsets as well, but each day we are FREE to begin again, and this is a wonderful thing!
                              Today, enjoy your FREEDOM! Put the beast, AL and ALice back in chains and stand them up by the curb to go to the trash!
