My life certainly doesn't suck but I still have a drink problem. If I could stop it would be even better. The drinking too much sucks, thats for sure, thats what needs sorting out.

Hi Lefty,

Your not alone here!!! we are all in the same boat...but we are all here to help each other hang in there.....
I think if we really want something we have to work hard at it.....A lot of people have work hard and do feel good.....I'm still trying i will not give up... without the AL life only gets better.
As i learn today life is getting better, but by drinking it get worst

:welcome: Life today..sober..is a hell of a lot better than it was before I started this program. It does take time, it does take work, and you may slip or stumble along the way. But, if you are ready, you can do this! Read RJ's book, look into suppliments, cd's and meds that are available. Life is better..takes some getting used to, being sober, but for me..it's way better!
Please come back often, the support on here is incredible!

I felt the same way early on, but as time wears on you will see people post their struggles a lot more than victories. It is very therapeutic to write down what is wrong in your life and see the support for your efforts here in the forum. I also found it helpful to remain focused in the specific part of the forum that relates to my efforts at that moment in time and to avoid the other areas that may be a bit counterproductive to my goals. Anyway I slice it though, my life to day is 1000 times better that it was 3 weeks ago and so much better than it has been at any time in the last 25 years. I'm loving it!

Lefty- my life is and was good... I was just too pissed or hung over to embrace it! No shitty life syndrome here, I can assure you.... It's all good- the sobriety, slip ups, curve balls, etc.... sorry to say it hun, but your are one of us now! ! Stay focused and don't look for excuses....
