    Newbie from Belgium

    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself here. Discovered this wonderfull site today and spent the major part of the day reading hundreds of posts.

I'm 35 and have an alcohol problem for about 5 years, been in detox twice, but currently in relapse

I'm on campral, and antidepressants (remergon).

Today I decided that I am going to try to be alcohol free as of tomorow, seems to me that if I can avoid the first drink of the day, I'll be less tempted for the second one.

I have temesta and valium and vitamine B to help with withdrawal.

    Whish me luck

Thx for the warm welcome messages

Cindi: I know that after the first day or two things will get easier and I will be feeling better than I do now (my stomach is very upset because of the alcohol). Been through it twice and am so angry at myself that I have to go through it a third time.
Hopefully It'll work out better this time....

Hello everyone. I'm new to this site. I was online looking for solutions to help me stop drinking. I'm 33and have had a drinking problem for approximately 7 years. Sometimes I feel like I should give it up completley (Usually after waking up with a hangover) and then othertimes I feel like moderation is the key. I've been reading the blogs for a while and feel this site will offer an outlet for support and venting. I'm usually fine all day but I'm having a problem figuring out what to do with my evenings. Since I usually grab a beer as soon I walk through the door. I'm married with three children and am having a hard time figuring out how to change my routine. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

                              Hi All,

OK, I said I was going to go AF as of today, but I failed. I'm keeping spirit up though and will give it another go tomorow. Psych told me to double the dose of Valium for the first 5 days, then go back to 5 mg for another 5 days, than 2,5 for another 5 days. That should take care of the shaking and other nasty side effects.

                              Again, wish me luck
