Go back to the thread you want to reply to. If it's one of your own and you can't remember where it is, click onto your own name and you'll be given the option to 'find all posts by'. See if that works for you. I'll stand by for a while .....

To post something which is not in reply to anything else, you have to start a new thread which is what you did here (in the Just Starting Out section)

If you want to post something in 'General' (as opposed to Just Starting Out) - go to that Section and start a new thread.

Don't know if I'm helping you much at all (LOL)

To respond to a post, you just scroll to the bottom of the screen. Start typing in the box labeled quick reply. Then hit post quick reply.

Your other choice is to start a new thread. That is how you post a general message. I'm thinking those are the only two options, but you also need to decide where to post.
