    Doctor Game

Well, I got a prescription for 60 tabs of Topa, so I guess that's enough to decide if I like them or not as part of my program.

She was hesitant to give it to me because that wasn't her "department" so I need to go back to the general practitioner for refills. But, I guess I'll cross that bridge when and if I chose to stay on it.

Anyway, I'm still surprised at how difficult it is to get from certain physicians. I use to get vicodin, percocet and antidepressants with a phone call but I cannot get this without a huge hassle >: .!

I have still not been able to get it here in Canada. Been to two Doctors. And if I buy it off shore it might not make it through customs. I am so frustrated.

I am sorry you guys are having such a hard time with this! It is amazing how easy it to get other drugs presribed at the drop of a hat! I wish I had some advice to offer here! Good luck to you both!!

I hear you! I was going to try without it but all the posts got me curious to at least try. I'll keep you informed if its worth the struggle for me or not.

        Hang in there!

I would not even attempt to try without. I think here in Canada Doctors are wary of patients asking for specific treatment. It would have helped if my family doctor had not retired last year I think she would have given it to me.
I am not giving up yet.

Thuzzy, I'm glad you got it. Now you can deside for yourself if it works for you instead of the politics part of it. Anyway....I wish you good luck keep us posted. Gabby

Well, I went to the dr. and he was great! It helped that I had printed the entire book for him, showed him the chart and the Lancet article, as well as the new study at BU and the Wall Street Journal article. I got a huge Rx, and then my drug store called saying that my insurance carrier would have to talk to my dr. Well, I got the scrip anyway. I may have to pay for it outright, which would be expensive, but the expense just might be part of the motivation. I have to call the dr. again on Monday to warn him that my pharmacy and insurance will be callling. What a hassle! And I was so excited with all of the stuff I had done in just three days--told my family, sent of CDs. and supps, and even got a prescription! I just need to persevere. In the meantime, it feels wonderful not to wake up hating myself.
