I have not strung together enough AF days to contribute a lot to this list,but i will say that the evenings that I have managed to start later and drink very little,how much FUN it is to be with my kids,how thier laughter and shenanigans fill me with such joy,what REAL, AUTHENTIC,MEANINGFUL TIME WE SPEND TOGEHTHER......when i OVER-DRINK,either i fail to enjoy these beautiful moments,or they can even get irritating due to the noise and craziness...how sad is that.I love writing this down and looking at the words,it is a great reminder for me to keep up the hard work,dRINKING IS JUST NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!Who wants to wake up one day and realize that you missed out on so many beautiful memories w/ your children (nevermind the fact of what you are taking away from THEM,more importantly,if you choose to numb yourself during your time together-terribly tragic !

I admit to watching Judge Judy - she's my ironing buddy. I love it when she goes off on people, it's something I'm unable to do IRL. But one of the interesting things is when she calls someone out for being an alcoholic - just by how they look! And more than once I've wondered if anyone could tell that I abuse alcohol by my face.

It sure was evident some mornings. Probably most mornings.

Maybe it's not too late to undo that damage.

I got you beat Suki. Gym trainer looks at me and says "anything today?" And this is 5:30 Am. i give my best innocent look but I know he knows. WTF? How could he tell? I fess up. I'm getting quite good at fessing up. Shameful as it is. He says he just needed to know if I would lie to him. And I did not. I told him even more. It is so embarassing but I think people are placed in our lives to help us. I know who they are. I just have to get over it and tell them so they can help me. Oddly, it's not my giirlie friends. It's my men. I remember a long time ago telling someone most of my close friends were men. Now I'm back to that. well this went off on a tangent didn't it?

Greens, just let it all out. :h Everyone already knows, they just aren't saying anything. Or is it just me? I always know when I've not been drinking, I can tell that someone has been drinking. If the smell doesn't give it away, the way they act sure does.

I remember going to the Emergency Room last year because I slipped on the wet grass and messed up my foot. I didn't go to the ER until the evening. The woman asked me if I drank. Of course I said no. She asked me if I was sure. I kept saying no! How sad is that?! Duh! She probably got drunk from my wonderful odor!

Got your beat as well. Went to hospital for emergency D&C and they say what did you have today and when? I say water about 2 hours ago. I was so thirsty I couldn't stand it. They say and before? I say um... grapefruit juice at around 11 AM. I neglect to confess to the vodka in it. I guess they say my neon liar thing flashing on my forhead and ran a tube down my throat. That was fun.
