Just discovered MYO yesturday. I no longer want to be haunted with my alcohol issues and think it might be the answer I have been searching for. Already ordered supplements/book w/ CD's and have appointment to get persciption for Topamax. Just one question though. I have seen reference to a titration for Topamax, but don't understand what it is or where to find it. Any help would be appreciated

Best advice I can give you is to KEEP READING. As for the titration of topamax, it's 25mg wk 1, 50 mg wk2, 75 mg wk 3, 100 mg wk 4, then it goes from there... you'll have your book by then. The topamax is a dopamine blocker that helps to block the pleasurable effects from the alcohol. It stops the obsessive thoughts, then when you DO have the glass of ____ (booze), it's just not the same... you will have to see for yourself. Cutting edge stuff. Amazing research! IMPERATIVE you stick to the schedule! Learn from we who have faultered and had to pick ourselves up!
