    CD Effective?

    Hi all!

    Again...

    And thank you all!

    I am into my second day with the CD's and just the sups...no Topa...

    I am a little down because I am feeling not very much different...and I realize it has only been 2 days....hmmm...impatient?? And am still drinking.

    Anyway...the All One makes me a little poopy but not bad.... Probably just my body confused about why it is getting all the nutrition....

    I am wondering about the CD's as far as how long before I "feel" a new attitude?

    I am following the book for guidance as far as schedule and it is OK...although I do start to fall asleep during some of the CD's and wonder if that hurts.

    Was laughing at some CD sessions at first but then realized the reason I was laughing was because I wanted it all to work and was laughing because I was happy at the thought of it working.

    Anyway...thanks all again so much!!!

    I'm on day 7 and I can't say for sure wheather it is the sups or the CD's or both, but the plan is working for me just fine. Likely both. I decided not to take the Topa due to the side effects, but the kudzu and the sups seem to be working just fine. One thing that I got with the sups when I ordered was an addendum to the dosing, which included optional sups, including L Glutamine as another craving suppressant. Also, the dose of Kudzu was upped to as much as 3000mg a day. All I can say is that I've had 3 beers in 7 days, and really haven't wanted them that much. The cravings are still there. They were heavy during the first couple of days, but have moderated to the point of being easily overcome. The odd thing is, if I do actually pop the top on a beer, it takes me 3 hours to finish the stupid thing, and I don't really finish it. I'm left with at least a third of a can that end up getting hot and dumped. The first day I actually finished one, the next two days I tried, I just couldn't finish one. 7 days ago I was drinking 20 to 26 beers a day! It'll work, you might try upping the kudzu. Remember to eat, since, at least with me, when I got hungry I reached for a can 'o beer. Sorry for the novel, just letting you know what has happened with me so far. It is COOL!!:rollin

        Can't say that I have fallen asleep, but I'd be willing to bet that if you did, it would simply make them more effective, since when you are asleep, your subconcious is completely open and in charge. If anything, I'm suffering from insomnia. I'm tired, but my mind is running a mile a minute and won't shut up. I try to listen to the sleep CD and end up listening to that stream for a couple of hours before I turn it off. I'm listening to it on headphones so as not to disturb my wife at night, and that makes it even more impossible to nod off. I'm starting to get to the point where I'm going to have to tell her that she's going to have to lisen to it as well. I think I'm going to start taking 4 to 5 Calms Forte instead of three at night and see if that'll take off the edge. After the first week, I can tell you that the sleep suggestions on the CD's don't work for me so far. One thing I remember when I quit drinking about 6 years ago going to AA is the insomnia for about a month after quitting. One thing I'll give this program is that AA sucks, and is hard to follow through on, and this program is easy to keep up! Give it three or four days to kick in, and be determined not to drink to get you through the rough spots, it'll settle down! If not, you may very well have to take the Topa. I had determined that if it didn't work without it, I'd bite the bullet and take it, but luckily so far, it has worked without. Again, a novel, sorry about that!!

          Oh, BTW Kudzu is some bad A$$ stuff. If you munch 3 instead of two every time, it works even harder. That gets you close to the 3000mg mark, that the study was done with. You just sip, you don't gulp beer, and you really don't want the beer. It makes it a chore to drink, and after the first half of the can, it really isn't enjoyable. I usually take 2 at each session, but when I've taken three, I've noticed it's like with any drug, the effects are more pronounced! I'd guess the L Glutimine helps too.

            I haven't read any posts where anyone has had the reaction you describe from All-One. Just th opposite for me, lots of energy.

            I think perhaps cutting down on your drinking may cause a reaction.

              Hey Madhatter,
              May I ask which brand of Kudzu and which dosage you are taking? Holy crap!!! Those are some awesome results you are getting! I'm happy for you!
              I am taking the topa, but don't want to really go too high on the dosage (on 75 mg now). Goal is moderation. Can still drink 3-4 drinks a night... I think my vacation blew it!! Got my tolerance too high.
              I need a kick in the pants. Was not able to drink that much before vaca... just like you described.
              Duuuhhhhhh, don't pour the 2nd, 3rd, 4th drink, Bec....
              Just glad I can't go beyond that (10th, 11th... YOU KNOW:eek :eek :eek :eek )
              Gotta watch it though!
              Doing some preventative maintenance here.

                  I'm taking the Kudzu Rescue stuff that they sell on the website. Got it with the mega pack, or whatever the $160 vitamin pack thing is. I've found that taking two, or 600mg at breakfast lunch and dinner works well, but I have taken three, or 900 mg before too, and it seems to work even better. I seem to do ok on 600mg though, so that's what I take usually. If you do it according to the recommendations that came with the pack, which are different than the book (says it is an update on the dosing, and most of the sups are changed around as far as dosing and time of day), you would take 3 with breakfast, 4 with lunch, and 3 with dinner for a total of 3000mg per day. If you want, I can post the updated dosing schedule for the sups.

                    Got it, Madhatter, and thanks.
                    I bought this Kudzu Recovery at my local herbal/health food store. 650 mg tabs. I take 1 in the am and 1 in the afternoon. The thing is, I just don't know what is working and what is not, cuz I take everything at the same time! (am and afternoon dosages, with my topa).

                      Yeah, I sorta wonder what is doing what too, since I take a whole bunch of stuff. The only anti craving things are the Kudzu and the L Glutimine though, so it has to be one or the other, or both. I don't really care though, it works!!! I take 1000mg of the L Glut in the morning along with the kudzu, then just Kudzu the rest of the day (along with the dietary sups). I don't really have any physical cravings, it is trying to get my brain over the psycological habit that is the hard part!! I smoke, so that kinda calms the hand to mouth habit. I figure I'll quit that too, but I want to tackle the 800 pound gorilla before I go after the monkey :smokin
