I'm reading my way through all the forums trying to get through this latest bout of depression brought on by 3 days of drinking vodka. It was a big bottle and the rest of it just went down the sink. And WOW, look at all of us in here! Why can't we put all our energies and hope together, let's stick tight and beat down this Beast. If alcoholism is not a disease, it sure is some kind of curse. I'm joining you in screaming for help. g.

So it is noon and I am sober. I am starting out again on my journey of sobriety. i do so much better in life without alcohol. Thanks a million for caring. So this is day 1!

gelgit, we can never defeat alcohol and its for real adisease which we can only know stuggle and live with it, the thing and difference is how are you going to live with it and how am i going to live with it.

Realizing that I was not alone really helped me decide what I needed to do. I am fine as long as I do not drink....period. The depression is fed with AL and it is a circle. Does this make sense?
