    rehab for me?

I say go for it as well. You can be discreet as you need to be or as honest as you want to be. Usually other's are much more accepting and supportive to us than we are to ourselves, especially when it comes to our owning responsibility for getting better. I also agree that the amount of alcohol doesn't matter, a bottle of wine a day for me is enough to keep me a very destructive addictive cycle that only keeps me down. Good Luck!

      rehab for me?

Tiny, Before you decide find out what model they use for their rehab. If they are only 12 step modeled and no anti craving drugs, antidepressants, or newer neuropsychological strategies I would be very cautious. Some of them stress a model of addiction developed in the 1930s that does not serve a lot of us today. It stresses the spiritual nature of the problem to the neglect of the neuro-chemical-psychiatric issues. Be sure you go to the right place. a place where they will be open minded about Campral naltrexone, anti depressants, hypnosis, exercise, diet, talk therapy, etc and won't just push their variant of AA on you. Good luck in your decision making.

        rehab for me?

I agree with Kiri..find out if the rehab ideas are right for you long term. If they are and you can and will live with them then save yourself now. People will talk much more if it ever comes to the point you are forced to go to rehab. I think it's always better to be proactive rather than reactive. If you are questioning it then you probably need some help outside of what you are already doing.

Tiny, I believe as long as your personal problem, is being assessed, you are honest etc. you will
receive help, take what you need and reject what you feel you don't.
Love and best wishes Paula. x

            rehab for me?

Go, its the first day of the rest of your life and they know you drink too much of something, I suspect. I am so certain because I think that I should follow you. Please kep me up to date on what you decide and what you think of the whole thing. I too am scared but I still drink and do not want to. Thanks Tiny and God Bless you,
            Matt

                  rehab for me?

                  Tiny

I didn't want to go because I would be leaving my business, thought I would lose my customer base plus I wouldn't be able to earn whilst I was away AND I had to pay the 6K from my own pocket.

I am not loaded but just had enough.

The way I looked at it was if I had to go before I lost the ability to work full stop. I was already letting people down when I went on a binge, and others were noticing it was affecting my judgement.

Doesn't matter what folk think - AL is progressive and generally it doesn't get any better.

                    rehab for me?

                    Go for it Tiny,
You're right. It doesn't matter what folks think. Nobody's perfect. Even the 'judges' on the sidelines, with their unmerited superiority complexes.
                    You've got to help yourself.
                    Good luck...

                      rehab for me?

                      Follow Your Heart

Rehab is an important decision that only you can make and try not to think of what others are thinking... that is always detrimental. For me personally rehab did not work and I have been several times. AA also did not work and Antabuse only worked while I was taking it faithfully. I struggle with the thoughts that this program may not work, but someone here said "You must decide that it will work" no setting up for failure with "ifs, ands or buts". I think that is right! It will work if you want it too just as MWO will work for me.

I am thankful that there are so many here sharing their thoughts and concerns on any and every subject. Follow your heart my friend! It is often said at AA "It works if you work it" Obviously I did not work it, so here I am starting over.

I wish you success as you embark on this new journey! May you be blessed with many happy and AF days!

                        rehab for me?

Good luck whatever you decide. You'll know what's right for you.
At least you're trying to do something about your problem unlike one person on this
thread who has no intention of getting sober.

Have a great day and keep the chin up!

                          rehab for me?

Hey. DoMePuppy. Ummm.. let's see. You joined this forum in December. You have posted exactly six times. Out of those six, FOUR have been to bash, insult, and belittle one particular member.

Others have asked you to cut it out. Yet you come back and do it again. !!!!!!

WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM????????
Ms. Puppy (I know you're a Ms., as yours is the ultimate in the petty, junior high, "catty" behavior that gives women a bad name) -- we don't need your shit here!!!!! Get outta here until you grow up. Go write on some bathroom walls until you get your mindset out of junior high.
:boxer: Get the hell out of my house, Al, you worthless bastard!!

This is not the place for your personal agenda....what benefit are you bringing us? How are you helping?
