:welcome: Hi Linda, I am also new here, about 6 days now and I have found it to be an incredibly supportive site. There are so many here who will share their thoughts, ups, downs, what works and what doesn't.
AA did not work for me either, but that is just me. It does work for many, but I wasn't one of them. I have been doing well with this program so far. I bought the book MWO, then I bought the supplements and got a Dr. to prescribe for me Topamax. So far so good.
I do hope you will stick around and just see how supportive people really are here. Some can drink in moderation, some can't. I am one of those who can't. I do know that different people have different things that work for them so stick around and find out what those things are. You'll be doing yourself a big favor!
