Is It worse? Or is it all bad?

    good,bad or worse?

hi there i just read your post.am new here too and am not off the drink yet but have cut down.have abused alcohol since i was a kid when i discovered that i liked to change the way i feel.here in scotland drink is very much part of the culture.i was even christened on a bar with whiskey on my head.truth is i dont think it matters what time of day you drink .you know yourself if its a problem.i have addictive personality and have had problems with other drugs over the years.and food.am cheese addict too.there is much in the news here just now about people not knowing how many units hey are drinking per week.i think they just dont want to know.i dont know if this site can help me but it does feel good to talk to others who have same stories.i have friends who care but dont really understand.good luck.

      :welcome: Dolphin!
So glad you have found this place, it can really help, especially knowing there are people who struggle too. Great not to feel alone in this battle!
Since joining I have managed to cut down alot, but still have ages to go.....
Being in England alcohol too is so much a part of lifestyle, even more so in recent years and it is so acceptable so I have some idea of where you are coming from. Although I haven't had other drugs as such, I too have a long term eating disorder and still struggle with taking painkillers(codeine) daily. Sometimes I wonder what addiction to tackle first! Me too an addictive personality and I think you'll find many others here struggle with other problems.
Anyway just wanted to welcome you and say you are not alone!
The supplements I have found have really helped to reduce cravings,I think nutritional depletion plays a large part in keeping the alcohol problem going...
Hope you keep coming back for support!

Take My yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yolk is easy and My burden is light
