Think I need to be hospitalized

Think I need to be hospitalized
Bump.
Seacailin, please check in with us as soon as you can.
I hope you got to the doctor. Messing with AW is not good, especially if the symptoms are bad. You know, they can give you Librium to take at home to keep from having seizures.
Of course, if you take Librium, you better not drink!! The combo can be deadly. If you think you might drink, do not do go that route.
We are all thinking of you.

Think I need to be hospitalized
I am back
I went to the hospital. They do no admit alcoholics for detox anymore. The gave me a prescription for Ativan and sent me home. I feel pretty awful, but there is no alcohol in the house and hopefully, I am prepared for this journey. I have no idea what I am going to tell work. The last time that I was truthful with an employer about this, I was fired."Decide-Which Voice in Your Head you Can Keep Alive" (Shinedown)

Think I need to be hospitalized
Hi Sea, All sounds a bit rough - you must feel dreadful and be very scared. Know what you mean about your job though, it's like "you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't" isn't it? Praying for you and your family.

Good for you for making that trip to the hospital. Even though it didn't result in them admitting you, it was a great step to take. How are you feeling now? Is the ativan helping?AF for two years. Slight relapse. Working on it at the moment.

Think I need to be hospitalized
Afternoon Sea,
My opinion is that in the past I've tended to look at things rather negatively if they've happened to me once before. It's not always gonna be the case Sea. Try not to automatically assume the worst due to past experiences. Here's a thread I started a while back that may help with challenging your thought process.

As T mentioned too if the worst case scenario does happen then check out what your legal rights are.
Best of luck to you and be strong.
