    ODAT - Saturday

    Ok - the weekend is here!

    Let's get a good steady stream of ODAT going - I guess a lot of USA ODATers will be away on the holiday weekend. I had to think for a moment or two what holiday it was..... then I looked at the calendar - doh!! Bessie's not known for her mental sharpness!!

    Got the holiday cottage changeover to do as well as all the animals etc so I had better crack on. Today will be an AF day ----- no problem!

    Hugs to all and a :welcome: to anyone new.

    I'm in for today. Moderation plan started yesterday but I really don't want to go back to old way of life - so for today AF. Hope all have a happy and safe weekend.

        Nei ho! (Manderine Chinese, Bessie) I took a double hour course in college and that is the only thing I remember.

        Holiday threw me off. Couldn't figure out why the Saturday paper was in the driveway when I was sure it was Sunday. :H

        I ran across a birthday card and on the front a doggie is standing at a podium in front of an audience of doggies in chairs. Talk bubble for speaker doggie says "Hello, my name is Rex and it has been 3 weeks since I last drank from the toilet bowl. The audience doggies are smiling and clapping. On the inside it says "Here's to getting older One Day At A Time". :H:H:H (It's an AA joke in case you don'g get it.)

        I probably would have slept longer than 5 hours if my dad had not decided to call me before daybreak to ask me questions about his timeshare. Bless his heart, he forgets he's not supposed to call if it's dark. But it was a good AF sleep. I'll take that any day.

        I'm figuring out my diet thing a bit, boring as it is. Brown rice and steamed zucchini last night. Weeee!

        Busy AF day today. I missed the sauna yesterday. Maybe I'll take my goggles today and swim a little. Maybe my paddle board too in case my stamina is really pants!

        So Bessie, you name your animals and then eat them? In china I saw someone pulling a little wagon with what looked like roasted doggie on skewers. Medium Chihuahua size. I probably at some and didn't know it. :H

          Good Day Bessie and Evie...

          I am up early today after the fireworks and hanging out with my Hillbilly (for the people outside the U.S. please google this term) drunk friends last night for the 4th of July celebration. It is an annual tradition. They are so drunk and so funny and so happy that it is just hilarious. It is a great life for them, but just doesn't work out for me any more. However, I still really enjoy seeing them.

          They even managed to back over one of their dogs with a truck when they were backing out of the yard to go fishing. They took the dog to the emergency room and it had no internal injuries and only one broken rib. Well heck, that calls for even more celebration! Bring on more beer!

          Robin, the loudest and most obnoxious, decided to take up golf this summer. She is proud to say that for a mere $10.61 that she can play 18 holes on her new membership. She said that once she gets 3 beers in her she does pretty darn good. But then she gets real drunk and then all hell breaks loose!

          This morning I will join the Hillbilly's for "Breakfast in a Bag". I don't know what that really is but I will report back later if I don't end up in the hospital.
