    At the 72 hour mark

I am now 72 hours AF. The stomach is really taking awhile to bounce back. I had headaches and fatigue yesterday. I have one more day of medication to take, and hopefully, will be through with a detox that I hope I never forget. The sick thing is that I had a couple of cravings yesterday, but I made it through. I am calling my doctor today to see how much she will charge for an office visit. I feel much more productive today. I already applied for three jobs online this morning. I am dreading calling the mortgage company this a.m., but I must try to prevent foreclosure. I did not lose my former job, but it is a nursing agency and I am not making enough money to make ends meet even when I do show up everyday. I also need to find a job with health insurance. I hope everyone has a great day.:l

      Sea,

So glad you are through the worst of it.

The cravings are just part of being an alcoholic. You know this. Push through them.

      Good luck on the employment!!

      Love,

Sea -- good for you! Sounds like you have a good plan for finances... as well as being on track for becoming a non drinker...

                Wow Sea
What a difference 3 days makes. You are talking about making your future BETTER.
                That is FANTASTIC.
Just keep putting one foot in front of the other like you have been and tackling one thing at a time. (like calling the doctor..) Look how much you have accomplished.
                WOW

                  Hi Sea
Just wanted to congratulate you on 72 hours. It is day 2 for me after a huge binge on Saturday night. I didn't sleep too well but am hoping it will ease in time. I am already craving today, its awful isn't it that our bodies crave that poison. We just have to busy ourselves through it, I know I am. XXXSeto

Thanks for checking in and letting us know how you are. You are sounding so much stronger and positive. Whenever you feel a craving, just ask yourself if you want to relive the past 3 days. Stay close. You can do this. It might be a good idea to get anticraving meds or even antibuse for a bit. You have a bright future waiting for you!

                          Thanks all

Applied for 5 jobs, called the mortgage co, who won't tell me anything until they get all of my paperwork; mailed all the paperwork. Found a meeting to attend this evening. I am getting a craving here and there, but just trying to stay busy until meeting time. My head is still a little scramble, maybe the ativan. Today is the last day for that. Thank u for your continued support.
