Morning all!

Another quickie. So much to do. Now the sheep department is playing up - lots of messy bottoms! Dagging and rehydration fluids and yoghurt and keeping then penned with hay only. If that doesn't work it will be a poo sample to the vets for analysis. Coccidiosis looks like the most likely cause. But we'll see if they just 'dry up' on their own. Usually they do. It's often the change of grass and the stress of moving. Gotta get both holiday cottages ready for the arrivals tomorrow too - better make sure I wash my hands before I bake their welcome muffins!! :H:H.

Last night - AF. More importantly - tonight - AF!!

Hi Bessie and all ODATERs,
Bessie, I thought I had a hard day ahead of me until I saw your post!
Good luck with those sheep bottoms and the holiday cottages. It has always been a dream of mine to own holiday cottages, somehow the sheep bottoms never factored into the equation.
Another crappy weather day here in Ireland so the kids will be couped up all day and getting crankier by the minute. Have the whole house to clean - I try to give it a good clean on Mondays and Fridays and turn a blind eye the rest of the week. So its on with my my cleaning up music (War of the Worlds at the minute) and out with the bleach!

Hope is on the way - the sun is shining here now.
By the way I did actually put the kids into the shed and tell them it was a playhouse. In fairness I took all the shite out first and threw in all their shite but it WORKED! - they left me alone for ages. We had our all singing and dancing Supervalu opening a few weeks back - it was actually quite good - face painting and stuff for the kids etc. but go early as they ran out of all the stuff early and I had to wrestle to get my daughter a pink balloon only for her to let go of it as soon as she was out the door and she cried all the way home.
You just can't win!

Bessie, well if it isn't piggies, its sheep butts! Whats a gal to do?

I slept through my entire massage yesterday. I think it is the only time I ever kept my mouth shut the entire time (well, I may have snored, I don't know). I stopped by a favorite resto where I always had martinis or wine. It was a lovely evening and I sat outside and had a nice grilled grouper special. And water. I know the waitstaff and owners quite well and nobody raised an eyebrow. One was raised the other day with a "no wine?" k but it was no bother. The not drinking thing is not as hard as you think it is going to be. Thankfully.

I bought my dad the scotch yesterday. It felt good to go in the liquor store and buy something for someone else and walk out.

Have a great, goal achieving weekend. I will be AF regardless of hubby's issues.

Morning all!

Day 8 today!!!! YAY ME!....Anyway, my daughter comes home tomorrow. She was at camp for 2 weeks, then on vacation w/her dad for 2 weeks. Only saw her for 2 days in a month....THAT IS A FIRST! I miss her tremendously, and cannot wait for her to see me AF! I don't think she knew much about it, just that I'd have "a glass" of wine in the evening, but I'm wondering if she'll notice a difference. Shes 12, and alcohol made me very impatient with just about everything. Sometimes life got on my nerves. (Hey, another plus about being AF, I'm not as frantic anymore!!!)

Alleluia the shower is now fixed and bathroom put back together - yay!

On the downside, son has breeding colony of lice in beautiful hair (discovered yesterday evening) and I have them TOO!!! God I hate these things - when do children grow out of bringing the little critters home?? So have incecticided my head and am waiting for the awful smelling stuff to destroy the little nippers as I type.

And also on the downside received an invoice this morning telling me I had managed to get 4 JayZ tickets for tomorrow night in Manchester - except I'm 42 years old, have 4 children and would probably rather have nits than sit through JayZ at the best of times - also apparently yesterday I bought a top of the range iphone!! Aren't I doing well. Yeah you've guessed it some toe rag has cloned my Visa Card - what total bo***cks!

Things can, as they say, only get better!

Hi all ODAT'rs

You guys crack me up. There is never a dull moment, no wonder I look forward to logging on every day. The topics of conversation are so varied!!! Sheeps bottoms, headlice, nasty old Al is fast being demoted. On Day 5 and feeling good. I ate so much over the hols, I dont now mind cutting back and its the same with Al. I modded well but because I did have a few drinks every day while away, I now dont feel deprived. That used to be a big one for me, I'd cut back, feel deprived and then feel I had to treat myself, twisted logic.

Morning All

Some good news and some bad news today. They Heat Wave has begun!! I went an got the AC in my car fixed yesterday and when I took the car out last night, It was Not working. Grrrr....I have to go back to the shop and hopefully it is not going to cost me more money. The good news. Day 14 today and I am going back to work today. Finally. Hope all are well and have a great day.

Hey Everyone!! You are all so funny! It's feels so good to laugh first thing in the morning.
Another AF day for me today. I'm watching my young cousin today (he's 10) while his mom has a Dr. appt and we'll play a little pool and eat pizza. Great kid and I love having him around and being AF makes it even more rewarding.

Good day all--Friday again!

My youngest had his tonsillectomy yesterday. Was somewhat of a hassle with scheduling--my own fault I guess I called to ASK about postponing it so I could go to my friend's funeral, and when I NEVER got called back, I called again and said never mind--we'll keep the appointment. (this was the doctor's office) Then I never got the call from the surgery center telling us what time he was scheduled! Luckily I have a friend that works there, so I called her after hours and told her the story. She called as soon as she got to work the next day and they managed to work us back in. (It's an hour drive) Anyway, I guess the nurse canceled the surgery and just didn't call me. I was a little miffed, but what good does that do. Will be curious to see what if anything she has to say when we go back in 2 weeks.
Anyway, it's hard seeing your little ones laying there feeling so bad!:h He's doing ok though.

I don't really have any animal or bug stories to tell today. Garden is growing--had grilled veggies last night--yummy! Wheat has been harvested. Now we need some rain--hot and dry here.

Well, I better keep busy. I need to get some work done outside while it's cool and then finish cleaning this filthy pit. (Bandit I could use your help--clean house twice a week? Are you sure you didn't mean twice a year?):H

Hello Friday ODATers,

Sheep bottoms, head lice, Olive laying a sausage (does that mean what I think it means?), MadMummy getting ID stolen, shoddy A/C work, non stop rain in Ireland about ready to drive all residents with children nuts - does any Friday get any better??? I'd say skip the stupid tv shows and tune into Bessie's daily thread. That's where all the fun is! And to know that through it all, we're just trying to keep from having booze be the center of our lives. You all are the best. Thank you for this Friday gift. Have nothing to add - nada - except for my gratitude and affection for ya'll.
