I'm with the majority. I'd just quit. I drank heavily for many, many years (very embarassing) and did not suffer significant withdrawal symptoms. While everyone is different, it may be affected to some extent by your general health. Despite the booze, I ate fairly healthy and exercised daily. I've read Seacaillin's posts, and she was feeling pretty awful when she quit - dr. put her on antivan. So, we're all different. Whatever you decide, put sobriety as your goal. The rewards are awesome.
