I am a paranoid because of my issues... but it seems, without question, that any thread that I contribute to recently ends with my post. I am 'getting the hint'. I am used to not being part of the 'Popular Group' but can't believe I am being shunned by other AL addicts . Another lesson learned. Good night. Sleep well. I will work on myself. No replies necessary. This is not an attention-getter for me. I should take more naps...

I have that same issue I think. Do you work with a therapist or something? I feel that way, too. Not so much here, but in life. I am always paranoid, or worried why I don't fit in like everyone else.
I was just thinking about it this evening, and am worrying about my life.

I always think that I'm not in the "Popular Group" too. I think that is one of the reason that I start drinking (15 years ago). I always not-the-good-one even among my siblings. But all I want to say, can we stop judging ourself?

I remember quite well feeling the same way when I first started here. I even started posting back to myself!:H
It still happens, but I don't take offense to it anymore. I know for me, I can burn up so much time here, sometimes I only reply to someone asking for help, especially if someone else hasn't replied yet.
So please don't take it personally. :l

Hey! I have been her for a long time now and although I would like to think people like me here; I can still end a thread or two!!!

It isn't a personal thing by any means! We all have felt that way from time to time.

Also, when someone replies to a thread; and then the person replies to them, saying 'thanks, etc..' is usually an indication that the matter has been dealt with.

Another thing is, it is summer time now and the boards are generally quieter.

If you feel that you need more advice start a new thread in the "Help ASAP" section. (I think that is what it is called. Too early right now for me to remember the exact name)

Everyone here is an equal with the same affliction. We all have felt the same.

Sometimes I feel like that too, unpopular and different. Then I get slightly paranoid. Not much fun really. I tell myself that it's just my thoughts doing this and nothing else. Sometimes it works and sometimes not.

Hey Rockyroad,
please don't take it personal as we all have felt like that at some point or other. Somewhere on the forum there is an old thread called "Am I a thread killer or such?" that became very humorous. I have been here a long time and the site has grown so large that it is hard to keep up with all the questions. I try my best to reply to newbies but it is not always possible to keep track if one does not come daily.
Please don't be discouraged and do come on back as we all know to well about the Rocky Road we are all travelling.

Hmmm. Now you have me thinking! I'm sure I ended a few threads here & there.

I don't post much - usually to cry for help for myself!! People here are so kind - they always reply when you really need help...

I went nearly 3 weeks AF (well, I had a couple wine coolers - not enough to feel anything)... Then last weekend, I brought a bottle of bourbon (MY poison!) over to a friend's. Drank enough that I wasn't very nice - and he has been SO nice to me. Evil booze. Or is it really evil ME?? Booze just makes it come out...? That's a very scary thought.

This is the first post I've seen by you, but I'm not a computer whiz by any means and I probably missed them. In my first few weeks, I was just trying to find my way around the site and threads. Didn't realize each thread could have multiple pages, so was easily confused! This is the first message board I've ever visited so it just goes to show you what we're willing to learn to get the demon alcohol under control.

And speaking of the demon, sounds like you are fighting more than one. If you feel it is interferring with your life will you seek professional assistance? I feel like we're friends/family here, but even the ones in the flesh have to admit their limitations at certain times. Hope you're feeling better.
